Hello everyone,

I have a green card which is yet to expire but I believe my application is considered abandoned as I have been living in the EU now for the last four years.

Before I left I had also applied for the reentry permit, however, that has been expired for a while now (2 years, I suppose).

I don't intend to pursue naturalization nor do I plan on coming back to the US to live. However, I would like to do some travelling every now and then to visit friends. In particular I have a wedding I would like to attend in October.

What kind of procedure should I follow if I want to reenter just to travel and stay for a short time?

Despite various research I was not able to find information on this specific situation.

Thanks in advance to anybody who may have any info on this matter.

Regards,

Franco

You need a toursit visa just like everyone else. Apply for b2.

Your green card is just piece of junk plastic at this point.
