Good morning! Finally at this step of the process. I am confused is this a NIV or an IV. Because I got my NOA 4/19, so I called NVC 4/30 and the automatic machine gives two numbers to call. I called the NIV line but Jane said my petition has not been received that it takes 6 wks.. Really?! I ve seen members who have it 8 days in or 20 days after NOA2-NVC. So idk another long wait! And the expiration on the petition is August does it entitle having the K1 by then or marriage and all.. Helpppppp ty 🤗

Follow this and don't worry about which one it is, it is NIV but with IV intent so it is processed similarly.

it takes "up to" 6 weeks (usually won't, give it average 2-3 weeks)

then they will say it takes another 8 weeks for a number to be assigned... (say ok sure. that usually takes depending on your case being electronic or not, can be the same day or 1-2 week later)

Interview should be before expiration (however this also can be extended by contacting the embassy)

My fiance's medical was originally scheduled for May 12th but after calling every day to check for cancellations, we were finally able to get him in tomorrow!  Yay!  At the very least, this sooner appointment gives us more of a buffer to ensure the medical arrives at the London Embassy in time for the interview as the medical group that does them here has often been known to take their sweet time sending everything over.  <_< But we're tempted to move his interview up as well, by at least a couple of days.  Oh, the temptation!

NOA1 September 22 2017, NOA2 March 30th (email April 2). Case is at NVC, no case# yet. I called yesterday and the agent asked me which country I was calling from . I said Canada and she explained the Montreal cases are all being changed over to electronic (something along those lines). She was very nice and said I can keep calling. If they are scanning every single page of our petition/evidence.... Oh my! I feel sorry for whoever was burdened with that task. We've been together for 7 years so it's a pretty hefty binder! 😂

JJ, @Naes  @Mr & Mr and all others : I was searching softwares for downloading Facetime audio/video calls.

Found one - iExplorer - although it is a paid software you don't need to buy .

You need to have a itunes back up of your iphone on computer. I used that and got some history of my facetime calls . You will need to take screenshots instead of paying.

Hi everyone, I am new to this thread and now waiting for the NVC to receive our case...Me and my fiancee received RFE and  my fiancee just received the Hard Copy of our NOA2 last April 17, 2018 which on it it was dated April 11, 2018. However, from the website of USCIS our case status still hasn't change it still says they received our Response to their RFE. I am wondering would that be a problem? I just checked it again and our status never changed since we already have the apporval (NOA2).

@Naes you should seriously consider going into immigration law or consulting when you get here!

Loooootttts to learn... I only know k1 hehe. But I admit I’m checking law schools and immigration law..

Cause I’m realizing everyday (or at least I feel like) this system is just hurting real couples, fraudulent applicants wouldn’t care this much and go crazy anyway!

It won’t be a problem (even if someone tells you so on the phone with NVC) just wait 2 weeks and start calling :) good luck!

My fiancé has to move from Virginia to Maine for 4 months (work related) starting end of June (Is Maine nice hahahaha :D ?)

I will probably have my POE early/mid June.  Now my questions:

Is it possible to get married in Maine and send all the paper work (application for employment authorization / advanced parole and application to register for permanent residency) to our USCIS office in Virginia ( since he is still a resident of the state of VA)?

Or do we have to fill in the state we got our marriage license?

THANKS IN ADVANCE (L)

I lived in Maine for a couple of months myself and loved it. The Acadia National Park is one of the best parks I have visited.

You will meet some of the friendliest people and amazing clam chowder and lobster :) ...envious of your move there

It is a good thing CEAC site does not have ip block after checking 1000 times or so...

Right?!? How long on average does it take to go from At NVC to In Transit?

Each time I see it at "At NVC" my hopes drop a little more.

I just want to get my interview booked dammit haha
