I didn't know the answer which is why I was asking.

I was sincerely asking what it was called.

I was asked twice what I was talking about hence I felt I was being made fun of.

Topic is dead. I posed my question to the original poster using the correct term as I'm trying to understand her problem (and maybe help her).

If the petitioner or the beneficiary misspelled one of the names on that NVC inquiry, if i am not mistaken, that could be the cause. Maybe the birthdate? I only send one inquiry to NVC and it ask for both names and i believe the beneficiaries birthdate also.

This is exactly what I was getting at but I wanted to understand what stage of the game she was in when she was sent the email.

Ie. if she already had the NVC case # then I didn't understand why she would be receiving an email from them stating a discrepancy.

It's probably a simple issue of her telling them incorrect info over the phone at NVC and should check her original NOA1/K1 application for clarification on what USCIS has documented (AND have it corrected if USCIS has the wrong info input in their system).

Not to make a huge deal about this, but unless one of the parties involved has a weird name that can easily be mispelled...that person is going to be his/her spouse. My fiance name is in cyrilic, so that is just easy to translate wrong and/or mispell.

I was really surprised she posted the comment about Inquiry. I remember she wrote she got her case # this week (NOA2: 4/4). I wonder why she made an Inquiry.

Exactly, my Beneficiary has an acute (symbol é) in his middle name and while his Birth certificate does not have it the rest of his documentation does including the K1 application.

It could be as simple as that.
