Ok! Well this is at least good information. Yea, once it's been approved you no longer should have to contact the USCIS. So the next calls you make should be to the NVC to get a status update on where your case is and how far along is the processing. I'm a little astonished that it took them pretty much 2 months to send it back to the USCIS... When you call the NVC, try to explain to the rep what had happened to see if maybe there are some special circumstances or something (hopefully anything good) that might help with your case's current plight. It's probably slim but let us know what the outcome is.

What to do after NOA2:

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

My NOA2 was dated 4/12 paper and 4/13 online. Today is the first time I rang NVC. Not received yet, but I know that’s normal. They are actually very nice to talk to.

Ummmm, my heart may have just stopped for a solid few second!

I'm going through the same stupid thing NVC put you through @Naes ...I just called and the woman said they have not received my case, said whoever told me it was received was wrong!! ...I'm gonna call back try ask someone else...
