Hmmm that's odd. I hope you don't mind me asking but what country are you from?

In the past few weeks they were receiving cases within 3 weeks and assigning case numbers after 1-4 days (4 days being the latest I've seen).

Oh my bad, slow moment I just remembered that you said it earlier. I would say call again tonight around 7pm CT to get an update. I usually recommend that time because most cases seem to be processed by that time for the day.  It does seem really odd though to me. 

 

Is there anyone else has received confirmation that their case is at the NVC but have not received a case number? What was the NVC received date?

Thanks! I just found  a few other ppl on this thread that have the same received date as me (4/18) but no NVC# yet. I'll call tonight 😊 I'm not worried too much though... My fiance is coming to visit me in a few weeks anyways 😍

I think there is some kind of a backlog at NVC so tho because we have the same NOA2 date and the NVC received my case on the 16th as well as gave me the case # on the 17th.

Makes sense. I posted in the Montreal group and alot of ppl have been waiting for their NVC#, packet 3, etc. The NVC is so close to Montreal... I could probably drive there. Do people do this? Lol. I say this in jest. I won't drive over ... 🤣

I still haven't even received packet 3 email yet . It's a slow email that I don't think is really needed because the information is available from other sources including persons who have already done the process.

I even called the JA Consulate since my case has been "Ready" for a while now and I was told that it can take up to 60 DAYS before I receive it. Ummmm NO. I've already waited 7 months . I didn't even press the matter after she said that to me.

Electronic cases does take an average of 2-3 weeks just for the case number.

I'm not familiar with electronic cases. I didn't even know that was a thing. How do you get an electronic case?
