I doubt that. I've seen people contacting NVC after 7-8 days and getting their #.

I can confirm I did this and it happened to me. Unfortunately.

What to do after NOA2:

Spoiler

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

I was approved just yesterday! I opened an inquiry on feb 16. It had just arrived at the NVC and they sent it all the way back to the USCIS so the USCIS can officially confirm it was approved and start the process of sending all the way back.

Overall finally appeoced and showing a status update 9 months to the day

I've seen that too but I've also seen quite a persons post complaints that they called after a week to find out why they haven't seen any NVC updates and they ended up getting their file sent back from NVC to the USCIS for secondary review or something so sometimes it's best to be safe than sorry ^_^

This is exactly what happened to me.. added 2 months

Well it's finally on it's way now so let's hope for our speedy NVC updates.

Do anyone knows if we can pay for our fiances visa from US

I don't know about that. I believe it might be Embassy-specific. My Embassy requires the Beneficiary to pay it through a specific bank in the Country.

It is so nice to be joining this thread.  I haven't posted much on the October filer's thread, but have spent many hours keeping up with everybody.  Now, my question is...what do I do with my evenings since I won't be sitting at the computer searching for the latest approvals?  :)
