@ChuAni I think my chit chatty nature actually made the interview itself longer... I did everything we say not to do in an interview, because we were laughing with the CO...

as an extremely nervous and anxious person, all  I can say the reality will hit on the day of interview... so as long as you can keep your cool during the interview I think being nervous and excited is not a problem (but it may cause us some additional white hair and new wrinkles... I have many)

After your case is in transit to the embassy you should get everything that is on our K1 checklist:

Just go through the whole thing and gather all documents. Get your police certificate ASAP because that can take a few weeks. Get your medical examination too - but don't forget that it is just valid for 6 months. But at this stage I think you shouldn't worry about that anymore. Get evidence of relationship - I will include an updated letter of intent to marry. You also need enough proof that your fiancé is able to support you in the states - you'll find more information on the checklist!

The flights from UK to US this time of year are so expensive! How will your fiance be bringing all his belongings? Taking an extra bag adds up also especially with connecting flights. Hey there! Sorry for the delayed reply.

 

They won't let you schedule interview until after you have your medical results in hand. You need your NVC number to schedule the appointment with the Maher hospital. Don't bother trying to book it through the website like I did and they never got back to me. Once you have your case number call them at 01 885 8850. I got a medical appointment 17 days from when I called and looking at other cases on VJ most get an Embassy appointment around 25-28 days after medical results in hand.
