Yayyyy!!! So happy for you....now looking back we would say we exerted a lot of unnecessary stress to ourselves....m still stressed ryt now lol.....cant wait to see your review of the whole process. 👸🍹🎉🎉

Just so you know yes we are stressing ourselves unnecessarily, but I am sure my Murphy's law if I didn't panic and get those extra papers ready... they would then ask for it

So I'll try my best to help you both :) I am waiting for my package 3 as well which Frankfurt sent out on Tuesday :(

After your case is in transit to the embassy you should get everything that is on our K1 checklist:

https://de.usembassy.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/21/Instructions-for-IV-and-K-Visa-Applicants-1.pdf

Just go through the whole thing and gather all documents. Get your police certificate ASAP because that can take a few weeks. Get your medical examination too - but don't forget that it is just valid for 6 months. But at this stage I think you shouldn't worry about that anymore. Get evidence of relationship - I will include an updated letter of intent to marry. You also need enough proof that your fiancé is able to support you in the states - you'll find more information on the checklist!

If you need help just contact me again!

Thank you so much! Do you know if the Bürgeramt can give an english version of the police certificate? I made an appointment for tomorrow to go request it.

I'm sorry for a mass reply But THANK YOU!!! Thousands of Thank you to all... really! Even though I know I can't 100% relax till I get the visa in my hands. all these makes me extremely happy!!!

@ChuAni I think my chit chatty nature actually made the interview itself longer... I did everything we say not to do in an interview, because we were laughing with the CO...

The most fun interaction:

CO: So you guys become friends online and met in real life after one week?

Me: Yes. (I am sure I didn't just say yes and there was 2 more unnecessary sentences here)

CO: So in 1 week you decided to be together?

Me: NO! (Insert "are you kidding me" face here) I rejected him cause I didn't want a long distance relationship!

Hahahhahahaha!!!😂😂😂😂

You absolutely did the opposite of the VJ Advice!

Gosh! I've always known you ain't usual!😱

I have a question that maybe can't be answered by anyone on here but maybe you've read about it on here. Will POE be a problem if it's in another state? Atlanta airport is the closest to me but if my fiance flew London to Atlanta the price is ridiculously expensive. He was going to just do a lay over like maybe London to Boston then to Atlanta. Does officers look at this as suspicious? I'm probably over thinking this. Ever since his last visit I'm just nervous.

The flights from UK to US this time of year are so expensive! How will your fiance be bringing all his belongings? Taking an extra bag adds up also especially with connecting flights. Cheapest direct flights i can find are in the 1000's, a return would be cheaper but is this allowed? If i booked a return trip but cancelled the return part once i arrive?

Hi, we’re also going through the Dublin’s embassy, what’s it look like from after the embassy receives the case to interview time? They won’t let you sched now interview until after medical? My fiancée said she can’t schedule the medical until after she has the embassy appointment. Is it possible to schedule medical before embassy has the NVC file?

Hey there! Sorry for the delayed reply.

They won't let you schedule interview until after you have your medical results in hand. You need your NVC number to schedule the appointment with the Maher hospital. Don't bother trying to book it through the website like I did and they never got back to me. Once you have your case number call them at 01 885 8850. I got a medical appointment 17 days from when I called and looking at other cases on VJ most get an Embassy appointment around 25-28 days after medical results in hand.

Good luck with it all!
