My NVC# shows "Ready" at the embassy (manila) But I have not received any email with the NVC Letter, which is required to take the medical. I called the NVC and requested one be sent to me, they are sending me one but he said it will take a week to process....can anyone tell me if the manila medical exam will ask for the nvc letter? if so is there any way I can print this out now. otherwise my finacee could take her medical Monday, but now were waiting for this email of the nvc letter which could take a week. any help appreciated...

You do not need to wait on the letter from NVC. If you do you will set yourself back a least a month in wait time when you could be doing the medical and gathering your documents needed for the interview. Get started today. SLEC wants the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVCOR Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

  • Principal Applicant - original & 1 photocopy
  • Derivatives - 1 photocopy each

If Interview letter or Visa Interview Confirmation was received via email, print 2 copies for the principal applicant and 1 copy for each derivative

I'm going to give you a website that walks you through the process at USEM. If you follow these steps you will avoid pitfalls and failure. The information is better than any lawyer can give you!!!  You want to reduce stress then use this website. Remember to "trust the process" and you'll have a visa soon.

Hi, we’re also going through the Dublin’s embassy, what’s it look like from after the embassy receives the case to interview time? They won’t let you sched now interview until after medical? My fiancée said she can’t schedule the medical until after she has the embassy appointment. Is it possible to schedule medical before embassy has the NVC file?

Have you used the portals for your country. To find the portal for your Embassy go to the top of this page and choose the blue tab that says "portals". Once you are on that page search for your country.  I'm going to do it for you. Here is the link http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Ireland&cty=Dublin

You'll find valuable information for processing your visa in Ireland.

You can get the same information through an app without calling or emailing. Every time your case is touched it creates an event that then is sent to your app on your phone. You can use this for every step from here to Naturalization. The app gets the notification much faster then the email and you don't have to ask anyone to set you up with email as the app searches for you and returns any results when your case is "touched".

The app is free.

Write this down you US NorthWesters:

If you ever go to Canada...

Victoria, BC- Go to the Steamship Bar & Grill right next to the US ferry dock (Port Angeles to Victoria or Seattle to Victoria). I work there now and they will all remember my Visa Journey and me staring aimlessly at the barbwire fence around the ferry terminal that seperated me from the US for 1.5 years, lol.

Squamish, BC (on the way to Whistler)- Go to the Knotty Burl Music Venue. My best friend owns it and I helped build the place in 2016.

Tell 'em Amanda/Mandy sent you. They will love you to bits and sing you "it's a small world"❤

Me neither. Only up to NOA2 over here.

@Greenbaum can you elaborate?

Hi all, just an update, got an email from NVC today stating my case is in transit, a little strange to me considering the email was sent at 6.30am on 5/19 (Sat) but oh well, I'm not complaining haha.

For those still trying to get updates from NVC

I would definitely recommend emailing them about your case enquiry, I don't know if they do the same for all cases, but I sent in an inquiry 1 week after my NOA2 asking for them to email both me and my fiancé if any updates occur and they've updated me on my case being received, my case number and my case being sent out without me pushing for further queries.

So do try that too if you want.

Good luck everyone!

May all of you have your visas on hand soon. :)

So NVC just added your email to the case file even before they had received it?
