Just curious, was the April 2nd date on your NOA2? Or was that when you got the update online?

I'm hoping the wait times in Montreal aren't too long either.  Biting my fingers nails waiting!!!

Hi! The official letter is dated March 30th and the online update was April 2nd. I've seen ppl post the 2 in VJ although I'm not sure I understand why... Does it make a difference?

Yes!!! Let's hope this last part flies by... My fiance is coming to visit at the end of May and I would love to be able to go back with him ☺️

I don't think it makes a huge difference other than the fact that the NVC goes by the online update date.  I was just asking because I think they tend to do these in order (generally) so if your online update was the 2nd, then I know mine should be coming in the next day or two.

I was hoping to move over there at the end of May too! But every day that goes by makes that seem more and more unlikely :(  I hope the very best for you and your fiance!  If you discover anything interesting in the Montreal process, please do let me know! I'm so curious how fast/slow it's going to go from here.  I've heard horror stories about Montreal on here but maybe those are just some unlucky people.

I was wondering if any you guys can help me out?

I received my noa2 on 4/9/18 in the mail  and dated 4/5/2018 on the hard copy and yet to this day on uscis website old and new and even on the app it still shows that my case is still pending, what made me feel stupid was I contacted the nvc In hopes to get my case number for my fiancé, but I was told that they haven’t received anything still from uscis and that I should check back in 3 weeks, what am I to do?

There’s nothing you need to do. It’s a silent noa but your wait has nothing to do with that. your case just didn’t reach NVC yet.

which is normal as nobody in your timeline did so far..

just call again tomorrow, then the next day, then the next day... that’s pretty much it for NVC.

I believe if you can do a change that will be at the embassy stage.

Mail to the embassy when you get NVC number with the information.

take papers of proof with you and explain.

And don’t worry. Worrying won’t solve it but I’m sure it’s not a first :)

Yes you will contact with the embassy.

for example in john’s case NVC forgot to add one of the k2 kids and he couldn’t schedule the interview because of it. he was able to correct it at the embassy stage.

it happens.. I’m sure it actually happens often.
