I’m very worried because some other people doing process via Seoul embassy updated their timeline that their case left nvc much much earlier than us. And our case received by nvc earlier than them (may 3) but still at nvc!

i wonder if this would take longer.... I want to cry 😭

Hey guys, i really appreciate your help with answering a few questions for the ds160

1) on the page US point of contact info, it asks for relationship to you and in the given choices there is no choice for fiance but rather "US petitioner" and "other"

I wouls select US petitioner?????

2)Question in family: Do you have any immediate relatives in the USA, not including.

I answered yes to that since i am his fiance..i know this is stupid to ask but i don't want to make a mistake lol

3)Has anyone ever filed for an immigration petition on your behalf....

So i am a little confused, because i filed a petition for him for fiance visa last year but we were denied..and then refiled. Do i answer yes or no??

4)Have you made specific travel plans to the USA?

How did most of you answer this? I said yes, and wrote an estimated date of arrival and port of entry.

I really really appreciate your help!!!!!!

I was checking the US Embassy Togo site and it didn't specifically say original copy so I'm assuming this is how we determine that? From what I'm reading I shouldn't have to mail him any originals but just email him copies for him to print. Would you agree?

I have read recently on two different websites where one says original and sign documents plus 1 copy and the other no original signatures are not needed. So.I'm reserving my opinion. Keep researching and go with what you works for you. Also I'd try and get in touch with your Embassy and see what they require.

1) us petitioner

2)yes (read instructions next to the questions)

3)are you filling this up for your fiancé? You know all these questions is to him and about him.

however if the only petition ever filed for him (I don’t know if anyone else ever filed for him) then no, k1 petition is non-immigrant. (Anyone please correct me if I’m wrong)

4) No. as you probably don’t have specific plans. You can put an estimated date tho if it allows you.

Found this now too!

Uber enlightening on the new ruling on USCIS's former wet signature policy if (like me) not everyone was in the know:

We were just talking about this the other night on here.

Apparently USCIS has changed their policy on original wet signatures.

Check out the VJ thread link in the first quote.

You will find a link in the last post regarding it.

(It will lead you to a PDF. Sorry I don't know how to share here).

And still another end of the day with no case number....Called second time now 8pm EST. Had a pleasure to speak wiyh Gus.Very nice person indeed, like some people mentioned earlier.

I said some people get their case# in lightning speed...and he said I am sorry, but hasn't happened to this case yet. I wonder if a wonder can happen this week :(

The most difficult part is not knowing when,no tracking,no nothing in this stage....

Guys, aside of my useless whining, can somebody clarify few NVC conerns, please?

1)Case was electronically assigned on May,11. Why today is the first day they started asking names and dob? Does that indicate something?Previous days it was straight forward. I gave them Wac# and that is all.

2)And also Gus the rep at NVC told me I can add my email, but for some reason later, not now. So I guess I would still have to call them when the # is ready and only than leave my email?

Sorry,if I bothered too much and thank you very much!!!!

Normally they ask those extra info when giving you the case number. Did they give you a case number? If not I believe they are trying to get it ready. Even though it recently takes way less time, it used to take a lot more time for electronic cases to get numbers, so don’t worry about it too much (although I do feel you)

they probably need a case number  to add your email. Or because your case is currently being worked on, they can’t add or overwrite any info at this moment.

1) You give Bean your WAC# "WAC0123456890"

Bean punches in "WAC01234567899"

(Ooooooo, that one has been assigned NVC#!!!!Must ask Andrey her details!!!)

Bean:"What is your name and DOB, ma'am?"

You:"Andrey Sick and Tired. DOB: May 16th, 1985"

Bean confused as the names don't match looks at WAC he input. (Awww poop, wrong application number): "Sorry ma'am, your case number has not been assigned yet. Please know it may take up to yada, yada"

2) Thinking Gus may be thinking about when the bene fills out the DS160 and gives email?

You can actually leave your email at NVC and receive the notification just like petitioner does :)
