Now I can’t clarify it as it may specifically depend on the embassy. And the postal system of the country.

I used original wet signature for I-134 because I already had it, but scanned copy for letter of intent cause it didn’t make sense to send it.

All other additional documents such as paystubs and tax returns were PDF anyway so I just printed out myself. Same with passport copies.

My lawyer told me in the beginning of the whole process,when I applied for K1 visa,that in some period of time you would need to send documents to you fiancee via DHL. It appears that everything can be sent by email,just have to figure out with Affidavit. Will ask my fiancee contact embassy call center tomorrow. Thank you very much for your response! You are awesome!!!

@Andreypa

try asking this to your lawyer if you’re concerned. Because the policies are changing all the time and most lawyers are not up to date on especially k1.

Scanned copy is just fine. Uscis changed its signature guidelines and there’s nothing about a wet signature :) (note that this does not apply to petitions but I-134 is ok)

im trying to find the link to send but it’s 5:40 am... I’m already out and I still need sleep... but I’ll tag you when I find it :)

edit: found it! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/visas-news/ink-signature-no-longer-required-on-affidavits-of-support.html

As I-134 is also affidavit, it applies as far as we know.

@Naes @Greenbaum please help

My fiancee called NVC again asking if they have sent out our case to the embassy. Unfortunately, he was told that our case is still with them and can’t give explanation as to why our case was not yet sent. It is still for “administrative processing”. Do you have any idea why our nvc is taking time in sending our case in my embassy?

Here’s my timeline.

NOA1: Oct 20,2017

NOA2: April 23,2018

NVC Received: May 9,2018

Case #: May 10,2018

Medical Examination: May 15,2018

Additional Medical Examination needed: May 31,2018

Scheduled Interview: June 1,2018

I don’t really know. But it’s only been 6 days and actually 3-4 business days yet. I would still consider it normal I think. However a lot of people seem to be waiting a little long these days.

I have a friend whose case at NVC for about a month now. Also don’t know why. It’s been 2 months since noa2 for her..

My case is still at the embassy. Got my case number May 9. I heard it takes 2 weeks for them to send it out to the Philippines (Maybe it varies).

But that’s why I scheduled my interview 4 weeks from getting my case number so I could be sure it would be in Manila by then.

From what I know electronic is when they tell you to dial 5 right? If that’s the case mine isn’t electronic. Spoke to an operator on line 7 when he gave me my case #

Oh I see. It surely is weird that it jumped to Ready instead of In Transit. What did they (NVC call center) say to you before it changed to Ready today? When i called the other day, they said they’re doing finishing touches but still under administrative processing.

 I agree. It’s just that I’m worried because my scheduled interview will be coming soon.

I got it. Maybe I was just overthinking because I based the timeframe from the member’s experience.

I didnt call them. It has just been a week since I got my case number and scheduled my interview with a 4 week interval so I wasnt really worried about it not being in transit. Told myself I will panic next week if it didnt change.

My fiance got the nvc letter that’s what made me check my case status again expecting ut to be in transit but even better. Changed to ready lol
