Did you receive the email or call? Thanks!

I called. (As I understand it, NVC doesn't send any notifcation until the case has been created there and is "in transit" to the relevant embassy. I have been calling basically just for the peace of mind to know that my stuff actually made it there from USCIS. )

Hi guys,

I have a question. I received packet 4 today via email. I am a bit confused because those instructions are a bit different than what I was expecting. The affidavit of support they are requesting is the I-864 but all along I thought I was going to need the I-134 and its actually the one I filled out. Is the I-864 the one I need to fill out?

Are we meant to get an email or letter when NVC receives it or only when a case number is assigned?

I think an email when assigned x

If the best things in life are free, why is a long distance relationship so expensive!?

So its the whole form?

Print out the instructions for the I134 form:

https://www.uscis.gov/i-134

And show them to your employer where it says you may need an employment letter as a supporting document for your I134 application.

Atleast you have your number ! I think NVC has crowned me as the bad luck bearer. Hope you’re status changes soon :)

Its ok... I'm in the same boat, they received our case on May 7th, still no number. Why does it take so long to generate some darn numbers... I can generate a 12 digit number in my head in like... err 5 seconds. B-)
