Yes and it still shows “AT NVC” as of this writing.

I think enough time as gone by that it should have already been at USEM. I'd recommend make a call to NVC to see what the status is and why it has not left NVC for USEM.

That's fine. No need for another one. USEM really doesn't pay to much attention to the "purpose" as they do to the results, if all AKA's were searched and that the document is on a green security paper, is original and not older than 6 months.

@Greenbaum I just did mine last April 20, 2018 but the security paper is not green its "Blue"???

I will ask my fiancée to call NVC today. I’m so worried because I have booked my interview on June 1.  Hopefully we can get the email or letter today from NVC so that i can proceed with my medical at Slec

Don't wait for the email for the eligibility letter. SLEC will accept a screen shot or printout of the appointment confirmation page. Don't wait our you will miss the June 1 date. Also, if you can do CFO now you can get the CFO clearance placed in your passport at a latter date with no appointment needed for that step. The CFO interview you will need an appointment.

I received my case # from NVC on Friday! So 3 weeks wait time in total.

  • NOA2: 20 April 2018
  • NVC Case # assigned: 11 May 2018

I called Knightsbridge to book my medical this morning and miraculously got through straight away! I'd wanted to book my appointment in early July (still awaiting a few key docs) but they told me to call back nearer the time as they only have availability for the next calendar month.

My fiancée just called the NVC today and he was advised that they haven’t send our papers here in the Philippines. Should I still proceed with my medical tomorrow and just bring the NVC website’s screenshot showing “AT NVC” or should I wait for it to be in “IN TRANSIT” or “READY” status?

and what does CFO clearance and CFO interview means?

Hey All,

My fiance and I received NOA2 on May 10th ( super excited)  and we're a bit ahead of the game as far as gathering documents. We have mostly everything together- I-134, DS-160 complete, original I-129F package, all supporting documentation but we still have some small things to do

I have a couple questions that any help on would be appreciated

 1. does anyone have a website they prefer for certified translations? we need to do her birth certificate, and police certificate from Venezuela and Brazil.

2 Also I notice a lot of people say to start calling NVC roughly 10 days after NOA2 but I read an older thread that people were able to email  NVC and get their case number which allowed them to proceed with the medical ahead of receiving the paperwork in the mail

3 we completed the DS160 and for some reason in my head I thought we would be able to pay for it online (not so fast) .... when is that fee paid and what is the best way to pay it

4. The doctor fee in Brazil from what I can see cost 180USD, what is the best way to be able to pay this? and does anyone have experience on if the cost typically goes over the estimate if she needs vaccines?

thanks all
