actually i don’t know what exactly those are. I mean i’ve received email from NVC but i don’t know if thats package 3 or 4. I relied on my case number and the readiness of my case status so i booked appointments already 😅

I think it's different for every country? I heard that most, if not all, of beneficiaries from PI don't get a packet 3 or 4 in the mail. We do get an email from the embassy stating that they have received our case and we can now schedule the interview. So what we are doing right now is NOA2 -> NVC case number -> complete DS-160, pay visa fee, schedule interview, go for medical at least 1 week before scheduled interview or something like that...

for packet 3 the petitioner can receive an eligibility letter.Since mostly beneficiary can't receive the packet 3 hard copy early.receive ours already.(it's early than i expected)

ohh okay, their website isn’t updated, so that “2 weeks before interview” is not necessary. I can literally take medical thursday and then interview on monday even if it’s only 3 days later? I’m sorry i just want to make sure if i get it right 😬

Yes.You have everything correct. The only thing that will prevent you attending is if they want to do additional screening for TB. If you believe you are TB free then your plan will work.

Hi @Greenbaum if I'm the petitioner and a Philippine-born US Citizen, would the beneficiary still need to bring my birth certificate aside from my CENOMAR? And if so, would a copy suffice or does it need to be the original from PSA? Thanks!

Documents like CENOMAR PSA BC MC they like originals, as you know, to much hanky panky with forgery in the PI.

My fiancé went on a Thursday and a Friday (May 10 & 11) and released his results on the 2nd day (thank God his xray was fine). We scheduled his interview 2 weeks after the medical (May 25th) because we weren't sure how soon he would receive his medical results and the i134, etc documents that I sent him last Monday. He just got the documents today and now we're thinking of rescheduling earlier lol.. Right now they have an opening on May 17, 18, 22 & 23. But we'll see.. we wanna make sure we got everything correct and ready before we reschedule...

See my reply I made on this topic one tab ago.

You do nothing. The DS160 that you want the CO to have is the one you present at your interview. They don't even know that you have a second DS 160. You can have 10 DS 160 and they only look at the one that you bring to the interview and present.

If you go up to top of the page on the Blue Ribbon you'll see a tab that says portals. Select portals and another page will open up and on that page search for your country and then you'll be able to get all the information you need for your Embassy.

Packet 3 and packet 4 is old terminology. Packet 3 is now the embassy check list or the embassy email depending on your Embassy and how they send it to you.

For Manila it is the check list that's on the embassy website. Or it'll be the email that they are now starting to send out to the beneficiaries.
