I agree that no one wants to pay the fee all over again but in your case your going to be fine. Your going to have a interview that will last all of 5 minuets. You'll walk out with a grin because you passed but you will be stunned that you did all this work and did all this worrying for just an interview that last no more than 5 minutes. :D You'll feel like the gangster on the corner reached out his hand and said "pay me sucker $265 buckaroos'".

That's true. Everyone becomes an overthinker in this whole process. Okay I will book my appointment now. Thanks for building up my courage hahaha

@Greenbaum Iwill pay the visa fee today at BPI. Is that okay? Planned to have my medical next week. And interview by the end of the month hopefully. My case status # says “At NVC”. Am i doing it right?

i don't think you can book end of this month, my friend was booking hers last night but she said available slots are in june already. But everyday others may cancel so maybe there will be may slots open.

Hello everyone! We received our case number around May 7th and now we are waiting for the nvc to send the documents to Mumbai and we're trying to fill out the ds160 and submit it. My fiancé lived in Japan for almost a year, from 2011 to 2012 but it was not for more than a year. It was after he turned 16 years of age. My main question is... is it absolutely necessary to get the pcc from Japan? Plus I’m having doubt because he had entered the US though an f1 visa back in 2014 and there was no requirement for pcc from Japan then but don’t want to set anything our timeline back. Thanks again everyone and hope all is going smoothly for y’all ❤️

Thank you. So it’s okay for me to pay the visa fee even if my case # status says it still at NVC

Sorry I am confused.

Got it! Lastly, can I also do my medical next week and bring the printed status from NVC even if it’s not ready?

Yes you can. they only need the mnl # OR the appointment letter.

it changes everyday i guess,if you're still waiting for your NVC# you might not get a chance for may slots(not trying you to feel bad) do you mean you booked your ticket to US?

Thank you so much. Actually i am on my way to BPI. I don’t know if I’m going to continue in paying or do it once the status says in transit

you can pay it already,it's valid for a year so once your case is in transit your good to go.from 'in transit' to 'ready' approx just 3 days(atleast for us)
