Hey everyone, I need some help/advice. I basically just lost my cool because yesterday I called 2 times & both times I was told that my case had finally been received, this time, I call 2 times (once pressing 7 and once pressing 9) and Daffnie told me there isn’t a single trace of one case anywhere. HELP

It’s ok, you aren’t the first person this has happened to.  I’ve seen this happen when there is about to be a change or update on a case.  It’s been suggested that the case “disappears” from the system when it is being accessed or adjusted.  Just try calling again and if they tell you the same thing, just hang up and try again a little later.  But don’t worry, your case is there and didn’t actually disappear anywhere.  I wouldn’t doubt you get your case number soon too.  :)

Sorry I could have worded that better, what I meant was she’s lost the photocopies of all the documents from our I-129F packet & evidence

No need to worry. Every single document, except for the 500 photos, the phone book and any other items you used to pad your application, has been scanned and has become part of your "case". :D

They have it. Its not even part of the required documents for your interview.

He can have it delivered to a depot closest to him at no additional charge.  Alternatively, he can pay to have it delivered directly to him.  He would’ve had to make this selection when he paid the fee to schedule.  If he selected the free option when he scheduled, there will be an option to pay to upgrade to premium service (which is home delivery).  The option he selected will be displayed on the home page when he logs into the scheduling system.

Thanks! Not sure what he wants done yet but I’m so excited everything is officially booked. Literally 32 days away from the interview.🙂

Plus when i track it says the following below, what does that mean? What six steps is this? Is this applicable to me?

Thanks

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

Hey guys,

Where it says "submit in duplicate evidence of income and resources, as appropriate" on the instructions for the affidavit, would that mean provide 2 copies of each document?

Thanks in advance!

Two copies of whichever documents apply to your circumstances, yes.

Spoke to lovely Sunny at NVC today - case number not assigned but confirmed it was recieved on the 8th May & is electronic.

Hoping my fiancé gets an email today or tomorrow :)

I hope London Embassy has lots of availability in July as i dont fly back from my visit to Jake until the 9th of June - hoping to book my medical late June.

Congratulations!  We had Sunny as well and she truly is a ray of sunshine.  :D  Your case number should be coming very soon.  And I’m sure you won’t have any trouble scheduling a date you want in July.  At the moment though, only the June schedule is open but there is still plenty of availability for almost every day of the month after 6 June.  July schedule will probably open toward the latter part of this month.

Yay!  Just got case number!

I don't know the date it was received as it was my first call to NVC. ( I deal with anxiety differently--some may call every day from first possible day--I give it a while and give myself good odds for success. We're all different. :) ) I spoke with Marie, who was a delight.

NOA1: 18 Oct 2017

NOA2: 16 April 2018

I was also given an 'Invoice Number' that I was told I would need.

Question:  Need for what?

Warm feelings in my heart tonight are offered to all those still waiting.

Bless you all!

Best,

--Bryan
