hmmm... but as i recall since me and my fiancee got an RFE enclosed with that is they only asked letter of intent to marry from me the Beneficiary... thats why we only made one letter of intent... Would that be just fine or should my Fiancee(Sponsor) would have to make a letter of intent to marry the same format like mine that i can bring to the Embassy?

Honestly, it doesn’t hurt to bring a letter from both petitioner and beneficiary. It’s better to have it even if there’s a chance they wont ask for it. :)

Both of you are required to submit a letter of intent. Here is an example that you can use.

Fiancé Letter of Intent

(petitioner’s / beneficiary’s address)

United States Department of State

United States Consulate, [name of country where Embassy is located]

[Embassy Address]

(date mm-dd-yyyy)

Dear Sir or Madam:

I, (applicant’s or beneficiary’s name) , do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry (petitioner’s or beneficiary’s name), and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

Yours truly,

they may or may not ask for it but I have seen some who have gotten 221(g)'s which delayed the issuing of their visa.

Ok so in addition I read a Japanese blog on k1 now, rather recent from 2017, apparently they send ds230 part1 to be filled and sent with packet 3

Government at their best. Duplicate, Duplicate and if in doubt let's be sure to Duplicate. I'm scratching my head as to why they would ask for the old paper DS-230 and not find the electronic DS-260 more to their liking.

Remember the confusion we have experience over the past few days of why am I getting asked this question and your not? I'm suspecting that the 230 ask's all the questions and therefor there is something they are looking for to help in the adjudication of the visa. Just a guess.

I just saw the information in that form and thought the same!

it asks all that information at the part1 of 230. I had a good laugh at it... printing and filling now and it is basically all the parts doesn’t appear in my ds-160...

i would expect this manual approach from japan especially so not surprised :D

@Kswtangel I was born in Romania and have some missing vaccination too. Td and MMR. Although, I had vaccines for measles and rubella in childhood, but no mumps. So far, the Knightbridge clinic told me to come and they will figure it out which vaccines I need. I want to avoid paying that much for vaccines, as I can go to the GP and get them done there. The problem is my GP is so clueless though😖.  What vaccines did your fiancé get?

That’s pretty much exactly what my fiancé was missing.  He had measles and rubella vaccinations as an infant but no mumps.  In the end, we just ending up asking his GP to do the MMR all over again to be on the safe side.  He got two doses 30 days apart.  Since GP did them for free, we were able to avoid paying Knightsbridge any more money than they were already taking from us for the medical exam.  Lol
