Yeah, don’t stress yourself out...Maybe the country selection at the beginning drives the questions/required info? 🤷‍♀️

You’re right... I wish there were explanations...for once...

I’m just thinking of having my resume with me just in case so they can see my educational background if necessary..

That’s good to know! Our NOA2 date is 4/27 but we were notified of the update on 4/30 so we are hoping to receive notification that they’ve received our case by the end of next week 🤞🏻

Hoping you guys receive your case number by the end of this week though so you can book!

Thanks ! Me too, haha hoping to have him here by June 17th so just playing it day by day at this point. Hope you hear something soon!

Explanations, ha! And since you live in Japan you probably are familiar with the phrase “shikata ga nai”—there’s nothing that can be done about it!! 🙃

I’m trying to run away from that phrase....🤣🤣

by the way, update on ds-160, it did not ask (again) for any additional info than current school or employment. Not on my fiancé application and also my maid of honor just did it for b2 and it didn’t ask for her either.

although when I did my b2 about 5 years ago I remember adding my whole school history. So it may just be them changing this form, maybe by region or country. But yep I am at least sure it’s normal now :)

That’s the week I’m hoping for as well since our good friends wedding is June 23rd haha!

Unfortunately, that’s the only thing to do .. take it day by day. I’ll admit though this whole process has definitely helped me become more patient that’s for sure!

Keep us posted on everything and luck! :)  we’ll all be reunited with our other halves so soon!

I believe of last week the earliest appointment was for June 5th, our case has just been received so hopefully our number will be here in 2-3 days and we can book everything as well (for London you only need the case number to book the interview)

Does it appear that London’s embassy will be easy to work with?

Hey all!! Just curious because in all the research I’ve done I haven't seen anything about these 6 steps. Just want our case to get to it’s destination ASAP. Was wondering if anyone else saw this screen when checking the status of their case number with the NVC? I followed the link but seem to still be confused 🤷‍♀️ and hoping I don’t need to be doing something I know nothing about.

Im continuously wondering what’s wrong with my form...I’ll check again.

either way I know people got approved in both situations so as long as we finish the form I believe it is ok.

My form works. It’s just different than others, changing browsers won’t change the questions..

Ignore :)

That’s usually for immigrant cases (cr1 etc) however at this step as they take k1 as an immigrant case what they show does not really apply to k1.

Your case is at nvc and fkr the time being youcan ignore. Or you can find your country’s list to check but it is just a flow explanation on how it works.

for example this is from traveldocs about my embassy, but there is no real steps to do.

I discussed this with another user too, because for a while I really thought I had missed something on the form. But if you choose a current occupation, say business, it won't ask for anything else than current employment info. If you choose unemployed, it'll ask you for your school history. So just depends on your answer there

I chose, business then tried others, and tried student...

i remember it let me put all my schools before when I was a student..

Well I don’t know but as long as the form let me through I’m ok with it.

a question: I’m making my resume just in case (especially because I’m in IT) I quit my first university due to my scholarship and coming to japan, should I include that too?

That's strange. Well maybe the form just magically knows you're not a student anymore :D

You mean if you should put that on your resume? I suppose they would want to know what positions you have held and possibly what program you attended at school? I would include all that, but probably only the university program I actually finished (if I had switched).

Ok thanks I’ll do that! I’ll just put it as a side note because otherwise it looks like I was just laying around for 3 years 🤣

I don’t know what they know about me but I hope they know enough. I got my b2 from the same embassy so hoping they’ll check those too cause that actually has my degrees detailed.

when you arrive at the bank get your # from the machine type us visa, and it will appear there all the us visa so you choose the k1 visa. bring your passport with you.

I just went to the bank to pay for my MRV FEE...I was at the machine and it was asking for receipt #??? When I asked the teller that I am going to pay for US Visa... they were asking a form from EMBASSY that has the account number for payment... they say that I have to fill out a form online and print the confirmation page and that's what I need to give to them to process my payment... I don't understand what kind of former that is... 😭😭😭

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/pmisdepositslip.htm?amount=265&country=philippines  theres no form to fill up with just a receipt form to download. sorry i thought you have the form already. just click this download and present it along with your passport.the upper right side is your receipt # and keep the receipt that the bank will give to you back coz theyr gonna ask you for it at the interview.
