Wow,as I asked the question about the wait, and the case being received by NVC, I was on the phone with NVC,and a very polite gentleman by the name Angus told me that they received our case today!!!! Wohooo!!!!! NOA2 - April,25. I considet myself very lucky with such a short time frame!!! Yeah, finally!!!! And than he explained me further process and added that it might take up to 8 weeks with case number assignment (like for most of us here). I said that I hope to get it much faster!!! And he added: Well, that is the maxium wait, sir!!! Very happy with it!!!

I have a question about the DS160. I had been filing it out and saving.... Now I'm having trouble finding the section where I would input my education... It's like it disappeared. It's nowhere to be found. I wanted to put in my University, Cegep and highschool in addition to the other jobs I've had but it's nowhere to be found. Should I start a new form? I've clicked on every single tab (slowly) but it skips from current employment to languages...what the heck?

Well what you read is correct. That is what happens when you read what other "first timers" are telling you and lately I have seen a good amount of confusion being created on when you can and cannot do the scheduling of appointments or paying fees or when is it the best time to file this form or that form.

Yes, I have read the link you provided a couple of times and it is what I am going to follow. I am just asking what her basis is for that statement. :)

Are you employed?

education is only asked when you don’t have a current employment.

My fiancé is employed and his DS-160 did ask him to input education from high school up.

This ain't your dads DS-160 from years ago.:jest:

The DS160 I filled out didn't have all these trap doors. Looking in from the outside, I suppose its best not to listen to how everyone else is filling their DS160 and just put blinders on and sit down fresh and start from the beginning and answer whatever question comes up till one does finish. Then and only then submit your DS160. Doing it this way eliminates all the guessing and why don't I see and how come they see and why is it that way for so and so etc.

I am... I could have sworn I saw somewhere to put additional education but when I go back it seems to jump from current employment to languages. Nowhere to put previous education. I think I might delete all fields and start that section over again🤔

Anyone’s fiancé in the UK and will be going to the London embassy? We haven’t received our case number yet (hoping to next week which will be 3 weeks) but just curious if there’s s decent amount of interview dates for June?

Thank you!

I believe of last week the earliest appointment was for June 5th, our case has just been received so hopefully our number will be here in 2-3 days and we can book everything as well (for London you only need the case number to book the interview)

This happened in June filers and also to me, as I was not sure if I put it based on current info or the interview time.

Concluded at when we put current employment, past education questions didn’t come up. But then again my ds-160 itself looks a little different than some (don’t know why)

as @Greenbaum said just go through the form, it won’t let you finish or even go to the next page if you don’t fill something necessary. So just fill it and don’t worry is my stance.

That’s good to know! Our NOA2 date is 4/27 but we were notified of the update on 4/30 so we are hoping to receive notification that they’ve received our case by the end of next week 🤞🏻

Hoping you guys receive your case number by the end of this week though so you can book!

Im continuously wondering what’s wrong with my form...I’ll check again.

either way I know people got approved in both situations so as long as we finish the form I believe it is ok.

Yeah, don’t stress yourself out...Maybe the country selection at the beginning drives the questions/required info? 🤷‍♀️
