these confused me too. i know i should book everything when it says “in transit” and that we book our own interview, but here it says interview date is provided by the NVC. but reading the NVC letter we received, theres no interview date or whatsoever. should i wait for embassy’s call instead even if it says it’ll take weeks for the transfer process? ive finished ds-160 already scheduling is the only thing i’m confused about 😅

That’s just wording, if you know that you schedule yours in your embassy you can go ahead with that. Says the same on everyone because that’s how normal immigrant cases happen and some embassies schedule it themselves.

now that confused me actually. I thought we need to bring confirmation of interview appointment with us when we go to the medical exam. im pretty sure ive read that somewhere 🤔 so maybe you have to book interview first before the medical exam. Can someone correct me please if im wrong 😊

If you go to SLEC website the requirements state "Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) OR Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy"

Emphasis on the word OR. If you have the NVC letter either email or hardcopy you can show that OR the interview confirmation. I know someone who had her medical done before booking an interview so either works. :)

ohh okay thank you, that’s safer i guess, to do medical first before booking interview. That way i’ll save myself from rebooking interview just in case something will go wrong on my medical result right? coz the fee is non-refundable 😅.

Thank you, though i haven’t scheduled any appointment yet coz it worries me a lot. I guess ill finish medical exam first before booking coz someone said it is possible before booking interview.

I think that’s a good idea. if you have the time, go one by one and don’t stress yourself :)

we all already hit every limit in stress levels.

@J.J:) Have you received an email about your case number yet? Im wondering how fast they send it once they have assigned a case number.

They seem to send it when the case goes into transit.

hi NAES i didn't get anything yet. but just want to check in and see if you find somethink about my embassy

Oh I forgot to write here!

Cant even find any recent members...

whenever i start seaching on k1, it comes up with immigrant visa process. So I am assuming they consider k1 an immigrant case but all I saw was this.. though I’m sure you’ve seen it. I’m not even sure if this also apply to k1 but this is what comes up...and the embassy also only gave explanations that looks like immigrant visa...(like they mention ds-260 instead of ds-160) sorry :(

SLEC wants the Interview letter from the National Visa Center (NVC) or Visa Interview Appointment Confirmation from the Embassy (just print off a screen shot of the confirmation page once your appointment has been secured) either or.

Your visa application has a one year expiration date. We have never known anyone delayed that long even for TB treatment from SLEC. You can schedule your interview date, so you get on the schedule without delay in the event everything goes smoothly, then do your medical. If you get delayed then the embassy will work with you to move your interview date.  You can cancel two times without losing your fee or having to start over.
