I don't think my sarcasm comes through very well here...I don't believe there is any way it will take that long to get the information I need...it's just the company line.  Gilbert should hope it won't take that long or maybe we will get close as I plan on calling every evening.  :)

What's the best number for NVC for us to call when we're trying to inquire about our case numbers? I'm not starting just yet I just got my approval Friday but I'd like to write it down.

Me too, I got my NOA2 last friday. Let's do this NVC together:jest:

603-334-0700 Naes said to press 1 then 7.

I was considering calling this Friday lol but I think I'll hold off until next Friday just to not be over bearing and annoying. I'm wondering what the current time is for NVC from NOA2 to "ready" for embassy. I know a few months back it was taking 4-6 weeks but lately I've heard most people get their case number in about 2 weeks.

I think I will start calling next Monday, 23rd April. Oh, that's my birthday. Hahaha

From what i read here, it takes around 16 days (including weekend) to get a case number. In Australia, looking at dates, I think they only do K1 visa interview on the last Tuesday of each month. So I have a feeling my interview date would be 26th June. Fingers crossed~~~~

I'm really hoping it doesn't take long because I want my fiance to have his interview mid June so hoping late June/early July POE. I'm so excited.

NOA 2 april 2

so i called NVC today. Said that they received my case today but cant provide me with a case number yet since they still have to enter my case into the system. So i asked why cant they enter it now. They said that they have received a lot of cases from uscis so they are working on the back logs and may take up to 8 weeks. I doubt itll take 8 weeks. Gonna call again tomorrow.

Doubt that!

You get the #, you wait for the 'Ready Status'. For some Embassies, you can schedule Interview then, but for some, you've got to wait for the Embassy to send the Packet 3 to you.

I dont know if this is a good idea but my fiance is wondering if she can get her police clearance now while we are waiting for the NVC case number or shall we wait until she has her interview date set?
