Yes, it's the email containing your name and your case number. Print two of those to bring with you at your medical. You don't have to wait for a letter coming from the embassy to go to the medical. And yes, you can go even if it's not 'ready' yet. Here's a link that you can check: http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml#clinic-hours

Hello did you request them to send you an email with the case number? Or do they automatically send it to you once your case number is assigned? Thanks

Hey , how did you receive case number ,  did they send you email or mail?

We called NVC, turned out the case was electronic, so the person gave us another number to contact them and they gave is to us on the phone.

On the Visa status check on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV

On the drop down menu I select non immigrant visa right?? As it’s a k1 visa?

confused as it says no status, but when I select immigrant visa it says at NVC? Can someone clear this up for me please.

Based on what I’ve read in this forum, the K-1 visa is considered to be an IMMIGRANT visa within the NVC system. It will eventually revert to being considered a non immigrant visa after it is finally approved.

Anyone have trouble uploading a photo for your DS160? Im in the UK, anyone know where i can get a photo done for the specs they require? Or can I just do it myself? Thanks.

in my country, it says if you have difficulties uploading the photo, continue the Form, submit it and bring the photo with you physically to the  interview

I talked about this yesterday. The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 even though it truly is a non immigrant visa requiring I-134. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant. It stays that way until after approval and ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non -immigrant. It truly is a non immigrant visa with immigrant intent
