Yay! My NOA2 is April 18th too! I'll call later tonight and see if the case number is ready!

Hi congrats on your journey so far. Where can I go to see when NVC received my case? . I did see that USCIS mailed it to them on 5/4/18. Would this information also be on myuscis website?

I would appreciate your input :) ..

Hope all goes well!

@Todd L FSnappy snaps... anywhere they take photos. You ask them and they will do it for you. Ask them to also send the photos to your email and give them the requirement size for uploading on the I160. I did this with my tourist visa for USA and I didn’t have any problems uploading.

You can just call NVC press 1 for English then 7. I just called and had a rude lady lol. Gave her my Reciepf # and she said they receive my case today. I’ll try calling back tommorow and see if the nvc number is ready.

I also called NVC today for the first time. NOA2 Paper (April,24). Online (April,25). Lady over the phone said her name very quick, could not understand...gave her WAC #...she checked...it's still not there yet! And than like the majority of us heard..it might take up to 6 weeks...I said thank will call back later. I knew it is early to inquire...gotta give it another week. Next Monday might be just good enough!!

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth for the petionary and beneficiary.

Thank you xD

How did you check if the case left NVC and is in transit? Is there a website for this or some app?

Could anyone tell me please if the passport photo the we sent to USCIS would be ok to upload for DS-160 app? Or do we need a new one? Also do I need to get nvc# to start filling it out. We are trying to get everything together (all docs) asap.

Thank you!

Yes you can use the same photo. You don't need the case # to complete the DS-160 but you do want to wait till you get the number to submit the DS-160. You can start now filling it out but don't submit till the two of you have gone over the document with a magnifying glass looking for errors. :jest:Be sure to make a copy of the confirmation page with bar code once you submit the DS as you will need it for your interview.
