Btw i just want to thank everyone who patiently replies to my inquiries. Currently working on gathering the supporting documents i need to send out. Its an overwhelming response to see other people who are in the same situation as i am working and helping each other out. I wish everyone good luck on this journey as we are almost at the finish line of the 1st phase.

Probably been asked a million times but what info do I need on hand when calling the NVC?

Call 603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888 Be prepared for a wait. Tell the operator that you are requesting a case number for your K-1. They will ask for the receipt number located on the left top of your I-797 (NOA2) form. Then he/she will either tell you that they have not received your case or you will be asked for the names and date of birth for the petionary and beneficiary.

Called a little while ago. Wait wasn't very long. They didn't have my case as I expected. Will call back Friday.

First of all, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you complete your DS-160 and request your police certificate.  Now that you have your case number, you can call Knightsbridge to schedule your medical exam.  You’ll need to give them your case number when you schedule your appointment.  Once you have your exam scheduled, DS-160 completed and have everything else that you need for your interview, complete the Notification of Applicant Readiness Form and when your NVC case status changes to “In-transit” you can go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv to create an account and schedule an interview.  Make sure that you allow at least 5 working days between the date of your medical exam and the date of your interview or risk the results from the exam not arriving in time.

Been 18 days since approval and still haven’t even received the case at NVC :(

Ours took 22 days to arrive at NVC but then it was sent to London Embassy pretty quickly so that kinda made up for the wait.  I’m sure yours will arrive any day now!  Crossing fingers for you. :)
