@Naes what if i don't have yet... how would i explain it in the EXPLAIN BOX? i thought the medical comes later on along with the interview to the embassy?

Is there anything we can do now that we have our case number? I know the interview can't be scheduled until it's sent but can we schedule his medical now that we have the case number? Mainly asking fellow UK filers....

I know, I know it's probably been discussed in previous just wanting to get confirmation.

and can the ds-160 be done now? I haven't even dabbled in that yet been waiting for the case number.

I don't have my documentation yet, so I said no and explained that I will get it during my medical before my interview.

It really depends on the embassy.

what I remember from my UK friends were (cause I followed vocal edge's case really closely)

You can reserve the medical, but for the exam you will need the mail (this will come when it says in transit - but also vocal edge and many other in June did just take the print from NVC site if their letter wasn't there yet.)

DS-160 can be done, it won't even ask for a case number. it asks for the petition receipt number (WAC number)

@sillyali @stat @Naes how much would the DS-160 cost?

DS-160 doesn't cost anything. you will later have to pay visa fees (MRV) which is 265. but it is not connected to DS-160 and payment methods depends on the country.

Yes!  You can schedule your medical at Knightsbridge.  They will just ask for your case number when making the appointment.  If NVC has your email address, you should be getting an email with your case number as well.  I just forwarded that to my fiancé who printed it out and took it with him to the appointment.  Alternatively, you can print a copy of your status on CEAC if you need to.  I’m pretty sure they just want something to show your case number on it.  Monday is a UK bank holiday, unfortunately, so call Knightsbridge on Tuesday to schedule your medical.  They open at 9am.  Surprisingly, when we scheduled my fiancé’s appointments, the Embassy actually had much sooner availability.  I called Knightsbridge everyday for a week asking about cancellations and we were eventually able to get an appointment 9 days sooner.  You might not be that fussed about getting a sooner date but, just so you know, it is possible.

Yes, DS-160 can be completed now as well.  Some of the questions can be confusing and the page times out quickly so we printed out a blank copy of the questions and filled it out ahead of time.  Then we just went back and plugged in the answers.  Of course, this isn’t necessary but we found it helpful.  Alternatively, just keep saving as you go along so that you’re not stuck having to re-complete sections you’ve already done.  Sooo annoying.  <_<  Lol

@Naes I am sure you know it. Can Affidavit of Support be a scanned copy with petitioner's signature or petitioner should send this document via regular mail?

It can, as apparently on dhs website there is actually an explanation in wet signatures since 2018 and it says it’s ok. However I don’t know what people are usually doing these days. So it is up to you.
