Our case been received in 24 days from approval, then in 2 days assigned, and in 6 days left,1 day ready.

But i think every case is different. Some can go faster some slower, and dont know depends on what. Electronic system is perfect, once its in transit, next day embassy have it.

Ive contacted embassy, and they said to wait couple of days to receive a letter from them.

So getting ready for medical on 8th of May and hooefully by that tine will have letter from Embassy and can book my interview,so my fiance can come and join me there :)

There is no estimate anymore unfortunately, it used to take a lot longer(almost 2 weeks) for electronic cases to get a number but recently I believe they are adjusting the system and it takes only a few days. Probably why cases get their received status late but then get the case numbers on a better average (just my guess).

I believe the waiting time kinds of swapping between waiting for a case number and waiting it to changed in to transit (for electronic case): I get my case number after 1 day of its being received but now it's already 1 week and still says At NVC.  i guess they assign the case number quickly after receive it, then start scanning the documents later.

24 days arriving and getting the case number... a week after we got the NOA2 my fiancee already been calling them every week and since then they say that they don't have our file yet so it may take about 6 weeks. but then today is our 24th days after receiving the NOA2... and when he called this morning we got the case number at the same time. am not so sure when they received it though.

am not so sure but in our case it is about 24 days counting today. they didn't let us know when they received our case but today when my fiancee called them back,  they have our case number ready.

hi guys! is there a "best time" to have the medical examination done? we just received NOA2 and I'm assuming we have to wait for NVC before it can be scheduled, but can that be done basically at any point before the interview?

last time i check you can call them after two weeks of receiving your NOA2. Because there is no other way of knowing information details about NVC status like USCIS we have the tracker there but the best thing is to call them after two weeks.

yes you can start gathering all the requirements already in yor end if you're the petitioner. also the beneficiary should start with the requirements as it will go fast. as for the ds-160 you can start doing it and just save it in your laptop and submit it when done paying the visa fee coz you need the bank receipt #.
