So far I just put YES and then explained that after he gets his SSN and other requirements, he'll go to an accredited nursing school to get his nursing degree and then apply and pass the NCLEX to get RN license... hopefully that wouldn't raise any other questions

So sorry I missed this one. But yes I think that sounds good. Youre being truthful and putting an explanation :)

My fiancé has to move from Virginia to Maine for 4 months (work related) starting end of June (Is Maine nice hahahaha :D ?)

I will probably have my POE early/mid June.  Now my questions:

Is it possible to get married in Maine and send all the paper work (application for employment authorization / advanced parole and application to register for permanent residency) to our USCIS office in Virginia ( since he is still a resident of the state of VA)?

Or do we have to fill in the state we got our marriage license?

THANKS IN ADVANCE (L)

Does anyone have an answer to my question :P ? Maybe @Naes or @Greenbaum ^_^?

I am sorry I’ve seen this but I’m not sure about AOS cases yet.. I don’t think you can chose the field office though if your address is different so I don’t want to give wrong info...

@Naes Sorry for bothering you

But when NVC tells that they receive case from USCIS does it usually take a long time to receive number or it doesn't influence on the timeline ? So it took 2 weeks any way

Thank so much!!!

I didn’t understand your question exactly?

Youre asking how long long it takes from NVC received to NVC case number? It may depend but usually a few days. Sometimes longer especially on electronic cases.

Yes, you understood me correctly. Thank you so much as usually for your help.

Is it possible to get married in Maine and send all the paper work (application for employment authorization / advanced parole and application to register for permanent residency) to our USCIS office in Virginia ( since he is still a resident of the state of VA)? Your visa type requires you to send to the Chicago lock box. here:

USCIS Chicago Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

USCIS
PO Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680-4120

For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:

USCIS
Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

Or do we have to fill in the state we got our marriage license? Whatever state you decide to marry in, and there is no requirement to which state that is and is entirely up to you don't file AOS to that state. I recommend that after marriage you get official copies of your marriage certificate so you have it on hand it is not a hassle for you in the future to get a copy as you may have moved to another state.

Maine is a beautiful state and you will be visiting during the summer months. Winters can be brutal there so get out before winter sets in. :jest:

I am with an online bank as well and I am able to print out a monthly financial report. It shows my account balance. Maybe that's proof enough ? 💁🏽😅

Your online bank has statements that you can access; Right? If so that is all you need. So print them off to satisfy any requirements for banking reports. You may want to save them as you will need them for other filings once in the States.

Does anyone knows this:

We have got an email from nvc that our case been sent to consulate, but with strange text.

The US Embassy/Consulate General in Warsaw, POL approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The NVC sent your immigrant visa application to the US Embassy/Consulate General in Warsaw, POL for their action.

We didnt expedite anything.. is it everyone gets message like this?

There is no concern here for a Expedited case. Relax. Everything is moving as planned.

Hi, how did you get the notification?

To those that are processing in the Philippines Embassy I'd like to offer some assistance. Hank over in the sub-forum has put together a website that has all the steps with links to information and documents that are needed for USEM. The information is free and it is very current. Many that have gone before you have used his steps and their interview went smoothly. Here are the links to his website and to the sub forum for the Philippines.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

You should spend more time in the sub-forum as the discussions there are more centered around what to do and where to do it. Folks here are trying to get their arms around there Embassy requirements and may not know the answer to your questions.
