Called NVC, gave my WAC# and the guy proceeded to ask me my name, DOB, my Fiances name... I got so exciting thinking YES I'm gonna get my case number, was even doing a little dance in my chair ...and then he proceeds to tell me we still do not have a case number for you.. DAMNIT stop toying with me NVC!

I have been calling NVC and pressing 7. On Friday the 27th, they told me they recieved the case. Today I called and the lady asked me to call back and press 5! When I did, the next lady told me they recieved the case today, 5/1. I explained that I had been told that it arrived on the 27th already. She explained that it probably had been received as a non electronic case accidentally and when they went to process it, they discovered it should've been electronic and was moved over to that system with the "new" recieved date. She said her supervisor could go in and change the date recevied.

Another insight into NVCland !!!

Hahaha was that Tyler?  He did that to me and I almost yelled at him.  That was the first time they had asked me that info before so I thought for sure we would get a case number.

I called again a bit later and was asked the same information but this time the guy said they had our paperwork in their system and were working on assigning a case number.  I asked how long it typically takes and said they've been seeing K visas go super quick lately.  Mine definitely has not been quick but ok, I prefer being told that than the 8 weeks.

Such weird responses today at NVC.

Could it happen that we get our case number pretty quick now ? Now that it is an electronic case ?
