After an hour and forty minutes being tossed around on the phone, I finally spoke with someone that told me that they are changing system and thousands of documents are having to be manually entered into the system now because of this "new thing" they are doing... <_< ?

Our notice date that our case was being sent to NVC was dated January 6th.  I'm being told it's still too early to be contacting them....even though it says on the letter to give them 30 days. ....um...it's been way more than 30 days? It's been over 60 and we haven't received anything from them....

Am I missing something?  I'm getting frustrated because I keep trying to get answers out of these employees but they keep giving me the runaround and not clearly answering my questions - and I'm sick of being told to call back and pick a different number from the menu of options because that "department" can't help me...

Does anyone know what's going on?

You're calling the NVC?

I'm assuming you don't have an NVC number yet? Your case might be electronic. In that case, when you call NVC and they ask you to select options, you select "5" instead of "7"

Or that you haven't heard back from the Montreal Consulate?

I've been waiting since March 7 to hear from the Montreal Consulate. :(

I'm waiting to hear back from the NVC.   I only wish I was waiting to hear from the consulate! :(

Hope you get some contact soon!

What number are you calling for the NVC?

(603) 334-0700

And then selecting the option 5 - although I had done that three times and they kept telling me it was the wrong selection and to call back, finally found someone that had "Some" answers.

Yah, that's their number.

Something is definitely off.

Try emailing the Montreal embassy?

See if they got your application already?

Good afternoon be members. Last week ties I just got my case number an IIN number. I believe it’s just a hit a miss type of situation. NVC scanned my application in on the 20th of February so every week after that I called them. An I was told they have up to 8 weeks to give a case number. It use to be two weeks. So I called once a week. An I finally got mines at the five week mark. Stay stealth an hopefully u will get your case number soon. Have a beautiful day

Why would Montreal have their case when they haven't done any NVC processing yet?

OP you will be doing electronic processing so make sure you are correctly selecting options.

Also just keep calling them every few days. If you feel you're being lied to, ask to speak to a supervisor.
