Absolutely 👍

I understand your level of frustration for sure and even have taken a few comments wrong myself in the past but I believe everyone on here has best of intentions and is trying to help anyone knowing we all walk the same path in this journey...not preaching because I have the worst patience of anyone but just more less sharing your feeling about this

wonder if i'm the only one that's getting ignored or if there's more than just me and they just left this thread cause nobody would answer their question...   hmmm,  well I might be the next to leave.  this thread is a joke lol    so much for ppl helping others and being there for each other.

Hey sorry you feel like this thread is a joke because no one replied... I mean this kindly, I think the issue is that for anyone to respond to your question, they likely would have had to go look up the phone number for you, which would take them the same amount of effort it would take you to look up the number. A lot of active posters on here are constantly having to look up info for people and re-posting the same thing over and over, when it can be easily searched for by people asking, so people kind of give up on doing that stuff. I'm glad someone dug up the number for you - this is still a useful thread to share our April filer progress with one another.

I'm not sure I have ever seen such a lack of approvals in such a long span (1.5 days, lol) of time. I hope this means that some other day this week we really will get flooded with approvals.

That information is not true. This is from another VJ member who found a work around BUT still don't loose your NOA2. Scan it and put in the cloud for safe keeping. You should be doing this with all your files from the process and going forward.

There is a lot of contention over whether or not a NOA2 is required for an adjustment of status. We lost ours and have spent the past 2 weeks getting to the bottom of this. Here is the answer YOU DON'T NEED IT.

I called the USCIS and was told that an NOA2 IS ABSOLUTELY required to file. I was told on the phone that I needed to file an I-824 for a replacement at a cost of $405 dollars, and a processing time of 3-6 months. This was devastating news to us, and cast a shadow over our wedding day as we prepared to live the next 9 months on one income. I called back and was told the same thing by an immigration officer after demanding to be transferred. So I wrote a check and paid the $405 and filed. I figured if it take 6 months I better do it asap. I made an info pass appointment and scheduled a meeting with our congressman's secretary to discuss our case. The congressman's secretary told us that is was required but that she would chase it up and try and see if she could get our I-824 expedited but offered no promises. Then we went to our info pass appointment..

Surprise surprise, she told us exactly what I expected to hear: Of course you don't need your NOA2 to file because you have a K1 visa in your passport. More importantly that K1 visa has your receipt number, and your A number recorded in it. She showed us that our receipt number could be used to instantly pull up our file on their system which showed our I-129F status as approved. She printed out a copy of this for us to use in our AOS application. She told us she was sorry that we had been misinformed but could not stop the I-824 from going through; We would just have to eat the $405 fee.

For any of you out there that have lost your NOA2 (aka I-797): RELAX and DO NOT FILE AN I-824!! If you want reassurance make an infopass appointment and ask for a printed copy of your approval on their system. If you don't have a receipt number on your K1 visa they will give it to you if you provide your A number (on your K1 and I-94).

It happens to people all the time, it is not a big deal, and it should not hold up your application.

Hope this makes someone feel better.

Thank you very much for that information. Yes, very very logical answer from de secretary's congressman. Lose the  NOA2 must not be any problem for get AOS.

I know this is most likely 100% wrong, but does anyone else feel that because we're seeing people with dates weeks after ours getting approved that it must mean we have an RFE coming, hence why it's taking longer? 😅

I'm second guessing everything I sent in, worrying if I forgot something, and being generally overly worried.

I know it probably isn't that case but it feels that way sometimes!
