Hi @Maeph welcome to our lovely Aprilette family you are an April filer!!

Good luck to you too. You should add your timeline then you'll get an approximate date that you will get your NOA2, also where are you from? We have region specific forms that are very helpful for us K1 filers.:time:

Oklahoma is Family yay!

Posted (edited)

happy Monday all, hoping to see the last of the February filers approved this week and more of the March filers approved too, there hardly seems to have beeen any movement in California over the last couple of weeks, hoping for there sake and ours.

I'm starting to get twitchy.  Only 24 weekends between now and the end of February including Christmas weekend so that doesn't leave much time to:

get digital English and American size passport photos;

Get police report (need a lot of things for that including copy my passport in full again);

Submit DS160;

get medical reports;

 have flu jab and get vaccination record;

Prep for interview ;

fill in all embassy required forms and copy supporting evidence;

catalogue all visit evidence and copy;

up date my UK pensions;

3 more visits between now and then;

sort out my back tattoos ( Oklahoma tattooists aren't anywhere near as good as my York ones);

do enough driving lessons to pass my driving test and retest if I fail first time;

Oklahoma driving theory test revision;

get cats checked over, do anything I need to to get them fit  and if ok to travel find out travel costs/logistics or find new homes for them :o;

sell everything I don't want or need from my home;

write letters, fill in forms for tax and local authority prior to leaving the country ( mail when approved following interview);

end contracts ( already have all my contract end dates and anticipated early termination costs, going to be an argument with sky they wont let you early terminate);

Prep AOS, EAD and AP and all supporting evidence;

make a will;

buy wedding shoes, veil; get bridesmaids dresses etc buy everything we can pre wedding;

provisional wedding plans finalising;

get shipping costs;

get health insurance for the period between getting there and getting married;

Book a skip and throw out everything not sellable;

register to vote as a remote voter;

finally: resign from work, sell furniture, pack, book flights, book shippers, book cat transport or send cats to new homes,  give notice on my flat and leave.

That's the summary version :huh: and that's if we have until end of February. In other words we all have a lot to do the beneficiaries.

much love to you all :wub:

Hiya,

What is that?

It's the next form and fee we have to fill out and pay after we receive NOA 2.

The Second Step: Applying for a Visa

The NVC will mail you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

Eligible children of K-1 visa applicants may apply for K-2 visas. Separate applications must be submitted for each K visa applicant, and each K visa applicant must pay the visa application fee.

Required Documentation

You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:

  • Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application. You (and any eligible children applying for K-2 visas) must: (1) complete Form DS-160 and (2) print the DS-160 confirmation page to bring to your interview.
  • A passport valid for travel to the United States and with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the U.S. (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions).
  • Divorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor
  • Police certificates from your present country of residence and all countries where you have lived for six months or more since age 16 (Police certificates are also required for accompanying children age 16 or older)
  • Medical examination (vaccinations are optional, see below)
  • Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)
  • Two (2) 2x2 photographs. See the required photo format explained in Photograph Requirements
  • Evidence of relationship with your U.S. citizen fiancé(e)
  • Payment of fees, as explained below
