This wait is brutal...

I am going to visit my fiance in the middle of September! Gives us both something to look forward to that we can depend on..

I am going next week. It will be so hard to leave again though😢 at least we are halfway through the wait for noa2. Have fun on your visit!

I just booked it. Its so much better to be planning something for a specific date instead of some day!

Hey guys. So I'm in the UK and my fiance is in the US. We submitted our NOA1 at the start of April, but there is now a chance that we settle in the UK, it's dependant on job stuff. Does anyone know if there is any negative or potential damage that can come from her applying to settle here at the same time as I apply to settle over there? Then we can decide as soon as we know? Last thing I want to do is jeopardise our being together, so would appreciate any help we can get. Thanks fam :)

Hi All!

April 18th NOA1 receiver here, fingers crossed for us all to receive the good news as soon as possible!🤞

My fiancee, Kiara, is in Orlando (suffering just as i am!), and i just wanted to ask if it was possible for me to go and visit while we are waiting for NOA2? In my head its a no go, is that right?

thanks!

U can visit without a issue. Just have return ticket, letter from employer stating return to work date. It’s not as big of a issue as everyone thinks it is.

My fiancé visited in March, we filed end of January and received notice February 2nd. She will be visiting again August 30th for 2 weeks.

Cant recall which month it was but, someone was driving from Canada to USA. They stop at immigration and did as they always do. Officer came back and said ur all set. Oh btw ur k1 visa was approved today. Congratulations....  they didn’t know it at the time themselves. Pretty cool surprise when just going for a visit....

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Ok, thanks! one small matter is that i'm currently in between jobs, but if i brought other proof (rental contract for my apartment, NOA1, flight information for future trips within europe i have booked) would i be ok? sorry to hijack this thread for an off topic discussion!

It’s not off topic. It’s what this forum is for. Get info that u need.

That all should be fine. Highly doubt u will need any of it but, it’s best to be prepared than denied entrance.

If you have any other kind of contractual thing those will be good supplements too - like car leases, doc appts, etc (if you dig around on here people have posted a lot of creative ideas). And also, IF they ask, be honest about the K1 and be firm that you understand the process and consequences of overstaying.

If you do go visit, let us know how it all went! 😀
