Hello April fillers! After weeks of spying on you here, I decided to join :)

We received our NO1 on 25th of April and now are waiting for NO2.

Rob and I met at the beginning of last year while working for the same company and so far we have seen each other 4 times ( 5th time will be in 2 weeks!! ).

Time since we first met has been the happiest period of our lives and we cannot wait to start a family. I wish all this waiting will be done by the end of December and that we will finally be together.

It is nice meeting you all!!!

Hi everyone. Just felt the need to say a very big “Thank you” 🥂

Since joining VJ I’ve been reading so much. The information available here and everyone’s input to this thread is absolutely superb and so very helpful. I am extremely excited and looking forward to finally being ‘home’ with Jake. If only we all didn’t have to play the waiting game.

Good luck everyone, hope the time passes quickly for us all.

Hi Tracie, You're welcome and no need for thanks. What was your NOA1 date?  Ours was 25th April.

I know what you mean about the waiting game and finally being home I feel the same way about being home with Chayne, it sure as heck doesn't feel like home here anymore and I've lost motivation for much to do with my life here now.

In good news I've bought my wedding dress (6 months ahead of schedule :o), it'll fit anywhere we decide to get married a size down as I'm dieting, great diet motivation!!

Hi Amanda

Jake received our NOA1 on 18th April.

Wow you are way more organised than me 😀 So much to still go through really. I never realised how many clothes I had 😂

I bet you are the same as me. Looking forward to a medical? How crazy does that sound? 😂

So I practiced doing the online DS160 non immigrant visa form yesterday and found out a few things.

It’s relatively simple just makes sure you have addresses of parents, children, fiancé/ee and don’t get bored answering 5 pages of security questions.

it times out every twenty minutes which is a pain so note your reference number as soon as it comes up.

the digital photo is problematic getting it formatted right.

all in all I reckon easily done in about 3 hours max.

I remember reading that you could save it in the system for a certain number of days, and also download a pdf to re-upload outside of that certain number of days. Did you test any of that out? I'm anxious to get most of ours done NOW if it is actually possible hehe. Running out of things to keep working on in this long waiting period lol.

You cant save it in pdf format is saves in .dat format and I don't have anything on my laptop to read it so I'll just have to do it all again when we get our NOA2.

Hey Kind of New to the forum.. Have April 23 NOA1 ... has anyone been approved for April Filings yet ? Just curious thanks.

Welcome. According to the Igors list looks like only a couple of people with outstanding circumstances, no regular applications from April have been approved though.

Colours for wedding decided on my fiancée’s flower suggestion and a tweak. White dress for me red and white flowers as they’re the colours of the England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 flag, royal blue bridesmaid/matron of honour dresses to tie in the red white and blue of 🇬🇧 🇺🇸 flags to celebrate our union Chayne to wear a navy suit

Greetings All, I guess I’m a bit behind this site I found in my restlessness. My petition was received April 2, 2018. I have not had any change in status or movement of any sort besides the NOA1 saying received. I’m thinking by now it would have at least showed something more than processed. I wanted to know if the persons country mean something in moving to the next step? I also wanted to know if anyone has had any progress in there case? I have a friend that went through the process and said her case actually had been moving forward and never received notice that it was at NVC level.  So please if any one can give me feedback, I’m grately appreciative. Thank you I’m advance. CBake

Hey CBake. Welcome to the group! No need to stress yet. Its conpletely normal for it not to show anything until our noa2. I recommend having a look at your timeline and seeing when it estimatesyour approval - from what Ive heard from others on this site it tends to be pretty spot on. From my understanding they haven't even looked at our cases yet. At the moment they're working through Decemeber filers - and I've seen theyve approved people right up until the 27th December. By my calculations, that puts us at about 4 months away from hearing back about our cases. Good luck! We are all here for you in this journey :)

@CBake to get your estimated noa2 date you need to fill in your noa1 date into your timeline. Go to your account and view timeline you can add it from there.

As katie said it’s pretty accurate the estimates and it changes ccording to lasted data. I guess you’ll be looking at October before you hear anything.

in the mean time chill and get ready for that stage, lots you can do to be ready and make the time pass quicker. We’ve learned a lot here on this site so any questions feel free to ask and welcome to our Aprilette family.
