Charts to compare July, August, September and October regarding the length of time from Received to Approved (as to 05/06/2018).

As a reminder, in the charts below I try to compare what happened within the next 187 days after the last day of July, August, September and October received cases. In order to see them clearer I put them together in pairs.

In that time, with a total of 596, 849, 923 and 1038 approved cases respectively:

  • July had a global mean of 195.56 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 5.22 days.
  • August had a global mean of 189.94 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 6.95 days.
  • September had a global mean of 187.57 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.68 days.
  • October had a global mean of 182.92 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.00 days.

As I mentioned in some previous post there clearly was a turning point from July to August, and it has kept improving consistently ever since. Notice that they did not only shortened the average number of days, they also approved more cases in the same period of time. Hopefully this tendency will continue! :)

If you have a driving licence you only have to do a theory test but if you havent you have to fill in a load of forms and do a load of tests

That all depends on the state you will be moving to. I have a Dutch drivers lisence but need to redo theoretical, practical and eye exam. So please look up your states requirements before assuming otherwise.

Hello!

April filer here!

I'm Giulia from Brazil (beneficiary) and my fiancé is Tanner from California.

We sent our petition via FedEx on April 10th, and it was delivered on the 13th (Friday). We received our Noa1 on the 18th (Wednesday) via text message and e-mail, but I can't tell exactly when we got the hard copy because my fiancé was traveling. He was only able to go back home last Tuesday (May 1st), and the letter was already there (stamp shows posting date Apr 19th).

The USCIS app shows the date that they received the petition (Apr 13th), but the new USCIS website shows the date that it was submitted to the system (Apr 18th).

I know we screwed up in one part of the form and we will receive an RFE for that, but I'll try and avoid it by sending a correction letter to the address that is in the Noa1 letter. The mistake: we didn't provide the addresses and employment info dating back to 5 years; we only provided what fitted in the 2 spaces. We should have written the info for the remaining years in the end of the form - but for some reason, we didn't. Stupid!

Anyway, I read that we can try and send these last pages with the information to the address that is in the Noa1 letter, along with a cover letter (containing name, date of birth, case number, etc) explaining that we omitted that specific information, and asking them to include it in our petition.

They can either accept this request and do it, or send it back saying that it is unsolicited mail - and ask us to wait for our RFE.

Let's hope for the first alternative!

Sorry that it ended up being a long post!

Nonetheless, we're very excited for October!

Hi Aprilsistar! How is your Sunday! Are u ok.again! @AmandaandChayne how is u and ur fianceee

@Kyle&Ana, we are doing ok, we actually tried to reviewed the Affidavit of support form and got confused initially.

My question is, are supposed to use the form I-134 or I-184 ?

Also which is the minimum income requirements for the fiancé? Because I had someone saying for fiancé it’s 100% or  above, while some say it 125% or above. Please can anyone throw shred some light here before we do the wrong thing...😂😂😂.

@AmandaandChayne thanks 🙏 about my NOA1. How are you and your fiancé doing? Hope you’re feeling better. 👌👌👌👌

Awww... @AmandaandChayne About the driving test theory, it’s 😱 for me. I really don’t like driving but I know I will need it when I am in the States. So My fiancé suggested and encouraged me on learning again because it’s been like 8 years I last drove🤣. At least in won’t have much of a problem when I get tested in the State for a driving license. My sister in Georgia failed 3times almost gave up on driving but made on the 4th time.
