They need a paper trail is my guess.

The wait in AP is a difficult one because you need a little hope to not break but too much hope and when another week goes by with no update you get real down.

Day 52 now and I maybe have a little too much hope this week as 5 of the 7 working days to the "magical" day 60 are this week.

Holding it together but this is really really hard.

I was thinking about you this weekend and reading up a bit on others' experience with AP in London just out of my own curiosity and saw a few different mentions of 6-8 weeks. This had me also hoping this would be your week! Sending my hope your way!!

Thanks lovely it’s our 8th week this week.

Actually got a reply to our third email yesterday they’d ignored the previous two although it was the canned response.

we both think they just replied to shut us up knowing this is going to go on a lot longer. Day 60 next Tuesday when I’ll contact the department of state then Chayne will contact his senator on day 61.

if nothing by the end of next week we will have to postpone our wedding. 😰

At times I know you are losing hope but there have been many before you and they eventually have received their approval. Let's keep an upper chin and carry on. You'll hear something.

I try. Some days are much harder than others especially with other stuff we have going on. No question of us breaking it’s just hard and yes the fear of ultimate denial is increasing.

Note of caution to others. DONT give up your job til visa in hand. We were silly we hadn’t heard of additional ap and I did. This is my second week out of work and it makes it harder. I’ll look for temp work next week.

Hi all! I hope you are very well. I have a question, does anyone know if the migration record is valid? I got it in January of this year, talk to migration Colombia and it says it has no expiration, but I want to be sure if the embassy asks for it with a certain time or date to be accepted by them. I appreciate your answers, Nice day.😘

You'd be better served if you were to ask country specific question in the sub-forum for your country. Link is below. And also, I am gong to give you a link to the P3 letter from your embassy which outlines what is required for your interview. Your question just might be answered there. If it is not a requested document for the interview it's doubtful they will ask for it.

After reading more I’m beginning to think calling DOS or emailing anyone to help (ie senator) with our case is pointless and could actually harm our case. @Greenbaum what do you think from what you’ve seen from other members?

The only one that I have seen movement after is the ombudsmen and that is just a WILD guess as soon after people who contact the OM had similar results. Not all but some did. Senators is worthless. Herein lies the problem. Until every "i" has been doted and every "T" crossed there is anyone that would put their signature until such time as that has been completed. There is to much risk that something could happen that the individual who is getting the approval for may do. So, as frustrating as this has been, if you haven't tried the ombudsmen I would give it a shot, other then that I don't think there is much more you can do.

What do you have to lose. Try both:

You might try both options below.

First try submitting an inquiry using this link from the Ombudsman; submit your request online.  If you have already submitted online but did not receive a confirmation email with your case number, the submission did not go through.  Please try again.

If you have not submitted Form DHS-7001, Case Assistance Form, online or made other arrangements with our office to file on paper, we will not respond to any emails.

The Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services Ombudsman

U.S. Department of Homeland Security

Washington, DC 20528-0180

Email: cisombudsman@hq.dhs.gov

Web: www.dhs.gov/cisombudsman

Second try your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.

If you receive a response and it contains anyone of these sentences this will be the meaning of that phrase.

If the CSC response is due to a congressional case worker inquiry, the service center will say "security checks"

If the CSC response is from a regular service inquiry from their website, the service center will say "adjudication"

Third

Another approach is using names and email addresses you can find on VJ (and cross-referenced through Google searches and some guesswork about how USCIS email addresses are structured) Send an email to senior managers inside USCIS, including the inspector general for USCIS.  One applicant's file was "found" and sent to NVC within a DAY of them sending that email. The email is what worked for them.  Nothing else worked.  They did spend several days hunting down the names and email addresses but well worth the time.

Hey April lovelies well Im still here on day 62post interview, my finace's senator's office sent a congressional inquiry in on our behalf  yesterday we asked them to  ask them to prove they could locate our file and then check the file for annotations to prove they are waiting for something and its not an error on the CEAC tracker or the computer.

Hoping for something other than a canned response back or indeed visa issued before we get the response.

At this point  anything remotely postiive would be better than nothing.
