I submitted an inquiry online yesterday and got an email back saying my case was pending security checks :( That's what I figured but it doesn't make the wait any easier! I was hoping to hear something by Thanksgiving☹️ Is anyone else from April still waiting to hear anything? And does anyone know how long extra security checks usually take? 😀

I'm still waiting to receive my RFE. They said it was mailed 11/15, but I haven't seen it yet. I'm subscribed to informed delivery. I don't know how long security clearances take exactly. I'm sorry I can't help there.

No one can say with any certainty when you will have your case further adjudicated. The answer your getting, you'll get this with any government agency, their timeline for their process is ALWAYS over inflated. You MUST take their answer with a grain of salt. If you follow this thread with any intent, then there is so much history not only on this topic but other topics. Spread your wings and visit some of the other "monthly" threads and follow the discussion. It's a real education. Just trying to make it real.

@Greenbaum I submitted online inquiry on November 16, I got an automatic reply saying I should expect a reply by December 8, then on Monday I received an email saying "Your case is currently being adjudicated. You should receive a notice of action* within 45 days."

So do I have to wait until December 8th or 45 days? And when they say the case is being adjudicated does that mean I will hear something soon?.

## 286 days since we filed and 63 days since they received our RFE response .

Thanks for your time.

Try one and if it doesn't work then try later. No one can give you an exact time so try either. Remember the always give you an answer that is way out there timewise.

Yeah. I had just woke up and did my morning routine and she heard me bust through the bathroom door and sit at my computer and she was like what what-what and I showed her and she was like whats this mean? lol Had to explain it all to her so she is happy now as well and told her to tell her Parents and explain what it means as well or at least dumb it down and say we got approved for the next phase of the visa process and that it is very good news so they're all a little bit more excited now as well. I just think it will make this weekends engagement ceremony much more exciting and a lot more anxiety around people for me. lol

Yeah, I've been telling friends its the "first phase" and "the important phase".   Most of them were congratulatory but one just said "so when is the interview and decision".
