Form: 1-134. Should I include my taxes?

Hello everyone! I just needed a little advice about the I-134. I am currently gather all the evidence that I need to send off to my fiance. I have almost have all of the required documents, I just have to wait on updating bank statements and letter from my employer (I got some in October when I originally filed). 

I just filed my taxes for 2017. Should I include my taxes in the I-134 as evidence? I have my pay-stubs and my 2017 W-2. Is that sufficient? Would my tax return be too much?

Yes, Casablanca likes to see the tax transcripts for the past 3 years. You can download them online or have them mailed to you: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

Does it have to be three years? I don't want to do it for 2015 because I was in Peace Corps, living in Zagora where I made no money and I mean NOOOOOO money. I think in 2015, I made a grand totally of $4,500 for the whole year. 

I have my taxes from 2016 and 2017. Do you think that is enough?

Do I also have to include my state taxes?

It doesn't have to be 3 years, but if you filed a return for the previous 3 years, I'd include them all. Don't worry if you didn't make enough in 2015. As long as you make enough now, you will probably be fine. My 2014 and 2015 returns were also on the low end because I had just graduated college, but since I made enough in 2016 (we went through the K1 process last year), it was fine. They did keep all 3 years of transcripts though. You don't need to include state taxes. The IRS transcripts cover what you need.

Any ideas on what the Bangkok embassy requires? I was just going off the instructions on the form.

Do you have the past 3 years available? It wouldn't hurt to show employment and financial stability.

What you have sounds good. Also, I would include an explanation about your low income in 2015; Your time spent in Zagora will boost your case for a positive outcome. It is great evidence your marriage is legit

Thank you so much! I did not even think about including an explantation of statement of my low income. Thank you for sharing and I am going to add a statement to my I-134!
