when did CSC receive your packet? I think getting an info-pass appointment for a stamp will be challenging if you don't have an NOA or receipt number. you may luck out and get a really nice agent that will go ahead and stamp it for you but most have been having difficulty getting a stamp without a receipt number.

Yes, the NOA can be shown for your new hire paperwork. just show your expired green card with the NOA so HR knows they match up and you do have the extension and the ROC is pending.

This is directly from the USCIS site as a reference:

page 16 on https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Verification/E-Verify/E-Verify_Native_Documents/E-Verify Manuals and Guides/M-274-Handbook-for-Employers.pdf also found on: https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/71-lawful-permanent-residents-lpr

LPRs [Lawful Permanent Residence] and conditional residents may be issued temporary I-551 documents. These documents are acceptable for Form I-9 as follows: 1. The combination of an expired Permanent Resident Card and a Form I-797, Notice of Action, that indicates that the card is valid for an additional year, is an acceptable List C evidence of employment authorization for one year as indicated on Form I-797. At the end of the one-year period, you must reverify

- CSC received it last week of last month, looks like it may takes 2-3 weeks more to hear anything about my NOA1 or check cash out,  So until i get the NOA1, i don't have anything to show if i get new offer?

Unfortunately, not. :( it has to be a valid/unexpired document. I did read on here (VJ) someone else that took their job offer letter with them to the infopass appointment along with some other documents that showed when they filed and such and the agent understood and gave them a stamp for a few months....not the full year.

I-751 sent on 4/9

CSC received on 4/10

check cashed today

waiting for NOA

I’m feeling a bit dumb now because I listened to the tier 2 officer’s instruction and mailed my packet again two weeks ago (I didn’t come across this forum at that time) Hopefully my actions won’t cause too much confusion or delay. On the cover letter I did put down I’m sending packet again as instructed by a immigration officer. I even put down the date I sent the first packet. I hope they won’t cash my check again.

I'm happy for all those of you whose check was cashed. I'm in a different situation, apparently.

So, sent on 04/09

Received at CSC on 04/10

Contacted USCIS on 05/09.

The Tier 2 officer said that he sent an email to CSC and I would have received an answer in 5 business days. Well...after 19 days I did received it and I don't know what to do at this point. File again? Call again? They sent me a useless email that does not give me any options. I am really sad right now and I don't know what to do. Completely lost.

This is the complete email:

I'm happy for all those of you whose check was cashed. I'm in a different situation, apparently.

So, sent on 04/09

Received at CSC on 04/10

Contacted USCIS on 05/09.

The Tier 2 officer said that he sent an email to CSC and I would have received an answer in 5 business days. Well...after 19 days I did received it and I don't know what to do at this point. File again? Call again? They sent me a useless email that does not give me any options. I am really sad right now and I don't know what to do. Completely lost.

Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

We acknowledge your concern regarding your I-751 filing. At this time, our electronic systems do not reflect that your application has been received into our systems. Due to various processes and pre-receipt checks involved with the Form I-751, our systems may be slightly delayed in updating your case information.

Additionally, please note that if you filed your I-751 application with a waiver (such as Form I-912 fee waiver), the process of updating our systems may take slightly longer.

If we rejected your filing, your packet will be returned to your address of record along with a rejection notice letter explaining the reason/s for the rejection.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

Since people whose applications were received on April 10 are just getting their checks cashed, I would hang in there. The members on this forum represent a tiny sliver of the applicant field, so I am sure not everyone will get their checks cashed concurrently. However, given that they are moving is a good sign, and I imagine they will get to your application soon enough. Definitely do not file again, as that will be of no use. Good luck!

CSC is cashing applications were received on the 10th of April, which your application might fall into the same date. I'd wait for 1-2 days before calling 1-800 again.

I saw April 9 people got their NOA's and check being cashed, I was worried and decided to call USCIS this morning.

Tier 1 agent told  me that they already sent the NOA yesterday and provided me with the receipt numbers.

Yay :) No words can express how happy I am today.

Mailed I-751 to CSC - April 5th

Package Received - April 9th

NOA - mailed yesterday May 23rd
