Looks like CSC is finally moving along.

My husband and I went to his infopass appt today because his license and green card both expired yesterday. They didn't even ask question or as for proof of anything. They did say, "you should have applied when the window opened, but no worries, we'll get you taken care of." They gave him a stamp/temp green card that is valid for one whole year. Honestly, we have got the best immigration field office in the country. They have always been SO helpful and super nice.

We did mention that my husband will be applying for citizenship in Feb of 2019, and the the guy told us he wouldn't advise that. He said currently ROC is taking at least 16 months, and our current field office is processing citizenship applications within 3 months, so it might delay the process of ROC AND citizenship. He said to wait at least 15 months before applying. Thoughts???

Since the application/USCIS websites says nothing about having to wait until the I-751 is completed to submit the N-400, and seeing people talk about submitting their N-400 while I-751 pending and successfully received naturalization, I will just submit when time is up.

N-400 Timeline (Total time - 4.5 months):

09/26/19 - Oath Ceremony

09/11/19 - Naturalization Interview
05/23/19 - Biometrics appt

05/04/19 - Biometrics rvcd

05/01/19 - Case accepted

05/01/19 - Submitted online

ROC Timeline (Total time - 13.5 months):

06/25/19 - New card being produced

03/26/19 - Transfer Notice (to non-local service center)

06/21/18 - Biometrics appt
06/11/18 - Biometrics rvcd

05/21/18 - NoA rcvd

05/21/18 - check cashed

05/17/18 - NoA dated

04/26/18 - ROC package rcvd by USCIS

CSC are currently processing early April applications, they should get to yours in a week or two. They received mine April 12 and I still haven’t heard anything. Don’t worry  they’re moving again now so shouldn’t take too long.

You don't need to pay anyone to track the status of Money Order purchased from USPS - use this link to confirm the status of only Money order purchased through USPS:  https://mois.usps.com/pls/pmoisnp/mois_external_pkg.main

Also o add: there is no way to check case status. There is a "Receipt Number" on the notices I received but it is not recognized by the case status check site. Though on the notice it says to use the receipt number while calling/inquiring about the case. Anyways, applications that do not require biometrics do have this shortcoming.

It's a pain because you have to wait for a callback, but a Tier 2 Officer can check the status using your A-number.

Ours was received April 24th, so we have a bit of time before things start moving for us. My husband's green card expired yesterday, and we have an infopass appt today, so hopefully they can do SOMETHING so he can renew his license.

Let us know how your appointment goes. As a reminder, I was able to convince them to give me a stamp for 3 months.

You do. I have already tried that.

They can give you a stamp without NOA? How?

As with EVERYTHING when it comes to immigration, it all depends on who you talk too. So note that while one person may get a stamp at one office, it does not guarentee a stamp at the one you may go too, even if you go to the same one and get a different rep.

Some local offices are more willing to give stamps than others, some only willing to give three month stamps, some a year, some not at all.

Normally you bring a copy of the I-751 in full completion
copy of the check you filled out for the I-751

Copy of the receipt that you sent the package
Copy of the signature delivery that they received the package

Copy of any proofs that a stamp is necessary (such as needing a new job to pay your financial burdens)
