For some reason I can't remember for the life of me how I sent my SIS packet. How did you send your ROC packet, in a ring binder, plastic sleeves, folders, etc. Not sure which is the best way

USCIS doesn't recommend any of those ways according to their filing tips.

I had everything organized by paperclips which I ended up removing. I used sticky tabs at the bottom to denote a new section.

Does anyone know if my wife can write the $680 check from her personal checking account? We dont have a checkbook for our joint account. Just wondering if the check needs to be in both our names? Thanks

That's what we did.

Thank you. Did you write "I-751" on the outside of the mailing envelope/package?

Hi guys! I just started preparing my package and I’m a bit confused about the tax return required in the USCIS instruction https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 - as I have read that many people got RFE just sending in the returns and not the tax transcript from IRS. So the question is, do I need both the state and federal tax return (with W2 and 1099) plus the tax transcript, or just the tax transcript would suffice? Thanks in advance!

If you got an email confirmation saying your state/federal return was accepted by the IRS, you can send that along with your w2/1099. But the tax return by itself should be enough from what ive read on the forums.

Yes let them know your situation. Better you come to them than they come to you. I will be contacting my HR this week even though my card expires in a couple of months.

I would simply wait for your NOA and not inform HR.  It will take 2 - 4 weeks to get your NOA.  I don't see any advantage or need for that matter to inform your HR on your green card status.

I would show both your Green Card and a copy of your I-751.  Tell them you expect to receive a one-year extension until your permanent green card will be issued.

But the social card should have "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" clearly printed on it if you came here on an immigrant visa. Thats what mine says and I had to show my greencard during hiring. My state ID also says "temporary immigrant".
