Gotta love uscis. So efficient.

Looks like you’re just a couple days ahead of Daniel. We got the biometrics waiver letter too a few days after you. Nice to have a friendly face to sit through this wait with us!

Yeah, we were a little slow in sending our stuff off for this one. I had a job change and a trip out of state and there was so much going on when our window opened we were worried that we might miss important details because we were both so far stretched with other demands.

It looks like we are in for a long wait!  I checked out the processing times for the N400 (thinking a step ahead) for our local office and it's apparently 19 months, if any faith is to be had in the USCIS website. I may assess the situation when it's time to file and pick a different office and make a day trip of it if the turnaround times are better.

It looks like no matter what part of any process you're in, it's just taking over a year for most everything now.  I just saw that the K1 filers are all back to waiting 7-8 months again.  Ugh. That's my consolation. At least now when we wait we are together and can carry on with our lives in the meantime! Are you CSC as well?

What's a biometrics waiver letter? Please enlighten me

Some (not all, but a fair number) of March and April filers are getting a letter from USCIS saying they won't be scheduling a biometrics appointment and will use the biometrics from the original AOS application.  Some are getting appointments scheduled and others are getting the waiver letters.  As always, there does not appear to be any hard and fast pattern to who, what and why.  Likely a bid to ease the load from the already terribly backed up system.

I really don't want them to use the AOS biometrics, it's an awful photo 😂😂

Everything crossed for a smooth and stress free journey

  Funny, I just said to my husband last week, I'm so glad they are re-using mine because it was probably the ONLY fairly decent ID photo I've ever had. The irony is that by the time the new GC is issued, I'll likely be ready for naturalization so I'll need a new set of photos for that anyway.  With an older me sitting in front of a camera. You just can't win lol

I have a question.. do they ask for the green card when leaving the US? Or just the passport for identification..

When you're leaving any country - all airlines/ TSA are mostly concerned about checking if you're eligible to enter destination country (not about leaving country).

Passport is penultimate document for most international travels.

-----

To answer your question - they don't ask for Green Card.

Hi All.

My file was received at CSC April 25th and 2 weeks after that i received my "120 day reminder" to file our removal of conditions but on this it says in a red stamp on the bottom " Action completed, filing approved"

i was wondering what you guys thought this meant? Does that mean they have received my package? Our check hasn't been cashed and no NOA received.

Thanks for any responses!

It can very well means you've been approved for GC. but sometimes, it may not be true but error. You status might change to "Card production ordered"

That's exactly what ours looks like but they haven't cashed our check. Is this what it meant for you? What do you recommend we do next just wait and see?

All that means is that you can file the I-751. The action itself, is the sending out of the 120 day notice.

The 120 day notice is simply that. They tend to send them late, but it has no relevance on your green card other than letting you know the time frame you're allowed to send the I-751 in.
