I just got back from Los Angeles Field office. We went last Wednesday before their internal memo came out. Tried again today but they won’t do anything without receipt number. I even mentioned that someone in Ohio posted that they got a stamp without a receipt number. Maybe this was an employee that was unaware of policies. Any who, they know it is delayed but won’t help without the receipt number.

Thanks for posting about your experience. That is really unfortunate that they will not provide any remedial alternative despite being aware of the delay and the resultant headaches for people...

When do we receive Biometrics? I am also at CSC

I'm not exactly sure. I think most have been getting their notices within 2 months after receiving their NOA1.

@ArchieD so far work hasn’t said anything and GC expires 5/23. Not too worried about that aspect. More worried about our mortgage loan not going through because they want proof of extension. 😭

just to clarify - HR would NOT have asked you to stop working until they figured it out. I've been working in HR for longer than i can remember now and specifically working with GC/work visas for the last several and I have NEVER asked any of my employees to stop working because I didn't know the answer. that's why we (HR) work closely with the company's immigration attorney. As long as your GC was valid at the time of hire, they are not going to ask you to stop working. your permanent resident status isn't revoked because you're going through this ROC process.

COOL. Thank you so much for the info :)

Sorry for the late update. I called USCIS last Friday. I filed with CSC on 4/10/2018.

The whole process went smoothly, and the girl on the line was very nice. She transferred me over to Tier 2 without my asking. I told the T2 officer that I filed my application a month ago, and have not have my check cashed nor a NOA receipt. He said they've been getting a lot of calls from applicants, but were only just given confirmation the day before (Thursday, 5/10/18) that the waiting time for NOA receipts is now a 60-day wait limit (as opposed to the current 30 days). He said not to worry, and that it does not necessarily mean that the application was rejected or lost. They are backed up and the whole process, in turn, is taking a longer time, even for receipts. He said at this point it's best to wait it out, and to call again once the 60 day limit has been reached if the check still hasn't been cashed/NOA not sent.

At this point, it seems like there isn't too much else to do but wait, unfortunately. VSC seems to have finally gotten a head-start with processing the April applications, and we can only hope that CSC does the same soon.  I'm not sure about the legality of status if your green card's expired. I would have asked but he called me back when I was driving, and I felt bad shouting into the speaker, and in all honestly, I'm not even sure if they would know..

So its 60 days waiting term now.

Nothing can do but wait at this point then.

Thanks for updating and sharing infos. This is what we need

And if there WERE a receipt number, that would imply that they had already processed the application and that the NOA would not be far behind... which essentially would negate the need for a stamp on the passport!

oh wow !!! so i guesswe all have to wait 60 day now..

I was also looking at similar instances and i notice that whenever such circumstances arise, uscis updates such info in the news sections -  as you can see below

https://www.uscis.gov/archive/archive-news/temporary-delay-issuance-i-129-receipt-notices

Since there is no such update yet, i looked around and noticed that that folks were reporting there concerns to CIS Ombudsman - Case Assistance If they have waited 60 days past USCIS processing times and have tried the USCIS customer service options listed above but still need help resolving a problem with an application or petition

https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

I hope this information helps

I heard about mortgage term too. That's a reason why I postpone all of the "loan" things.

Furthermore, i found the below article which talks about delay in receipt notice for ROC of another type of conditional green cards:

https://www.eb5insights.com/2018/04/11/eb-5-alert-recent-system-conversion-at-uscis-results-in-90-day-delay-for-i-829-receipt-notices-and-asc-appointment-notices/

Apparently, these folks are also in the same boat but they have been asked to wait for 90 days before even making an info-pass appointment.

So right now 60 days sounds better than the 90 days

Ssssssooooo...

My Conditional Green Card expired yesterday.

I'm at work today and boss hasn't asked anything.

I will definitely not mention it.  (I did remove the "valid for work only with DHS authorization" print on the SSC a while ago because  the bank wouldn't let me apply for a credit card otherwise. So I'm good on that, at least.)

Last Wednesday the Tier 2 officer told me I would receive an email from CSC since it's been more than 30 days and he prompted them to expedite the process.

I haven't received anything so far. Of course.

 How lovely. <_<
