Just got a letter in the mail today to say I don't need to appear for a biometrics appointment!  They will use past biometrics :)

When did they cash your check?

To those who received the biometric waiver, did you notice that the WAC number is the same as the NOA-1 which still uscis website does not recognize as a valid case number?!

I got the biometrics waiver and the wac number is the same. But there’s a new uscis case status site. Apparently they are phasing out the old. You’ll need to create a new account. You should see your status with the new site.

BTW - I told the May Filers what is going on here with the april filers... somebody went to get the Infopass stamp and that is what she replied to me:

Will see what happens with May filers. The officer at our appointment seemed pessimistic about processing times to say the least. Even mentioned people potentially getting two year extensions for ROC at this point. Keep us posted thanks for sharing.

So I guess we should be prepared for a long waiting time!

Can we get an I551 Infopass stamp if they haven't yet sent the NOA letter confirming receipt of the I-751?

USCIS received our I-751 5/3 and we need proof of US residency to apply for a Schengen visa for important travel 7/1 to Italy.

The Schengen visa application apparently requires proof of residency for 90 days after the planned U.S. return, but the GC expires 7/24. So I think we need the NOA letter to apply for the visa! Given the delays, I'm trying to think ahead.

Any suggestions?

Updated ourselves on the VCS sheet.  It is really good that we can see everyone's dates but is there another way we can do this since I almost updated and older version by mistake.

This is the part where I hear different things from lawyers, friends and websites.

My my lawyer clearly said - if you go to USCIS with your fedex receipt and expired green card ... USCIS will not give you a stamp because they won’t find anything in the system.

But it then I saw here people got stamps with just fedex receipts. So I am just confused by the different messages.

Maybe USCIS needs to have consistent messaging.

Finally a month later after filing I-797 I received a first responce from USCIS  !!!

It's   I- 797 NOTICE  OF ACTION ,  I guess its NOA 1.

It says "Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of 1 year"

As I understood I should just wait for the second notice? (ASC appointment)

Sorry for the late update. I called USCIS last Friday. I filed with CSC on 4/10/2018.

The whole process went smoothly, and the girl on the line was very nice. She transferred me over to Tier 2 without my asking. I told the T2 officer that I filed my application a month ago, and have not have my check cashed nor a NOA receipt. He said they've been getting a lot of calls from applicants, but were only just given confirmation the day before (Thursday, 5/10/18) that the waiting time for NOA receipts is now a 60-day wait limit (as opposed to the current 30 days). He said not to worry, and that it does not necessarily mean that the application was rejected or lost. They are backed up and the whole process, in turn, is taking a longer time, even for receipts. He said at this point it's best to wait it out, and to call again once the 60 day limit has been reached if the check still hasn't been cashed/NOA not sent.

At this point, it seems like there isn't too much else to do but wait, unfortunately. VSC seems to have finally gotten a head-start with processing the April applications, and we can only hope that CSC does the same soon.  I'm not sure about the legality of status if your green card's expired. I would have asked but he called me back when I was driving, and I felt bad shouting into the speaker, and in all honestly, I'm not even sure if they would know..
