i had that thing written on SS card intitally when i cam on K1 visa here but when my AOS was approved and i got my green card, i got it removed and got a new SS card issued.. similar thing was on my DL in NY state.. got that removed as well..

Ah, maybe it's not on my card because I came here on a CR1? Anyways, I will check at home but I am pretty sure I don't have that written on there.

I have not. TBH, I didn't know that was a thing. Would that have helped?  :(

Since your GC has expired, I think you need to wait until your NOA arrives to send it to your new employer. However, I would just go and talk to HR since they "might" accept what you have, and you have to update new documents after certain days.

Mine is still marked

Never saw it as an issue - I take enough time away from work to complete the immigration process, I couldn't justify another day to go to my local office to get it replaced

I tried to get the timelines from the APRIL 2017 filers but seems like they are using google docs and i don't have access. I think if we see their time lines we we may get some idea

Thank you. That's helpful.

I guess I am one of the super unlucky ones. I filed I-751 on 04/10 and my GC expired on 04/26. A week before my GC expired, I got a new job so I quit my old one. Plan was to start the new gig after a taking a week or two off (hoping that the NOA would arrive by then). NOPE! My future employer is now waiting for me to start. Not sure when their patience will run out!

FML!

Do you know if people that filed around the Apr 10 timeframe (in 2017) had to wait till till end of May for the NOA? I guess pas performance is not a guarantee of future performance, but I could use any data point I can get to alleviate my employer's concerns.

Honestly I'd never change job in middle of filing I-751 plus you had 90-days window too. My GC expires in July'18 and I contacted my attorney to file my I-751 in Jan'18. I was still late by 1-week but I'm positive i'll have NOA before my GC expires in July'18.

To answer your question related April 2017 application - fortunately they received NOA in 1st/ 2nd week of May - which seems to be further delayed in our case (2018). We're already approaching 2nd week of May. So it'll safe to assume end of May or Start of June (in worst case).

N-400 Application Timeline :

Application sent via mail - April 15th  (Field office Dallas, TX)

NOA Receipt date - April 17th

Biometrics receipt - April 22th (appointment scheduled for May 14th)

Biometrics completed - May 7th (Early Walk-in)

Biometrics completed - May 7th (Early Walk-in)

Interview scheduled notification - November 12th (via email - waiting to receive letter in mail for actual Interview date)

Interview completed & Case approved - November 17th

Naturalization Ceremony (in January 2020 - waiting on notice)

Are you a time traveler? :jest:

DOH!  I meant April.  My husband called and they gave the standard "wait 30 days" answer.  I'm still concerned since most Vermont filers get their NOA1 in about 1 week it seems.
