If that were accurate, The only explanation would be something major happened there and out of their control. If so, they should have told you, instead of making you panic and telling you to resend, when the cost and time of having to resend are big impediments.

I totally understand you. I would be frustrated too... 1 month should be enough - and by the way it worked in the past it would have been enough! Unfortunately my husband read an article yesterday (sadly I don't know where) that was from the beginning of april (the time the mess started) where Trump said he wants as much GC renewals as possible denied. ... And they listed the reasons for the denials. And he shortened the staff and the money for the SC anyways already... guess we are the ones who have to suffer... :(

:o Even if this is true, can he just snap two fingers and make things happen right away, out of the blue? And what right do they have to do this when people have families here? It sounds unlikely but...who knows. <_< My husband is not even able to work right now, he is freaking out THAT MUCH!

And how is it that a confirmation of delivery, whether by USPS or UPS/FedEx, is not acceptable proof that they received it?? One has to assume that they have a tried and tested system in place for accepting, cataloging, and time-stamping packages. I find it hard to believe that packages are just getting lost willy nilly. I hope whoever told you that your package cannot be located is just incompetent or uninformed!

I called 3 hours ago. The girl didn’t get any Identifying information from me other than asking when I sent my application.

She then put me on hold and came back saying I had to wait until the end of the week, as it hadn’t been 30 days. Application delivered on 4/12.

I am guessing she put me on hold to look up standard wait times. I tried explaining to her that this wasn’t just an isolated case. Same scripted response. I asked to speak to a tier 2 and she was very rude. I believe her name was Ashley. Are they not aware of this situation? This is definitely not normal wait times for NOA

Anywho, she transferred me to a tier 2, I opted to get a call back with wait time around 75 minutes. It’s been 3 hours and I haven’t received any phone call.

I was was able to snag a appointment tomorrow at 7:30am at the local office. I’m afraid they’re gonna throw the same 30 day wait time response. We are bringing a copy of the application, letters from employer, mortgage loan letter explaining that we need some of acknowledgement. GC expires 5/23.

I’ll update you all tomorrow regarding my info pass appointment.

Oh, this just adds up to everything..so frustrating. They know, for a fact, it is not an isolated case. Would emailing the lockbox help? As from what I read, it seems to be what the officers advise applicants to do in such cases.

To further compound the issue, I do need to renew my DL as I commute to and fro work. In TN, they issue out a 'temporary DL' which is conditional and mirrors the GC expiry date.

Hm, I'm in TN, too, and my drivers license expires in 2024...

Anway, glad I found this thread. I'm one of those unlucky April filers, too. (Sent it sometime in the middle of April, was received about three days later, since then - crickets.

That's what I get for procrastinating, haha.

I just spent 20 minutes listening to automated messages on the USCIS helpline. Could anyone help me out please. How do I speak to a representative? (It is before 6pm in CA. Are they operating on EST time at USCIS?)

I spoke to one of them a few hours ago, I pushed #2 that is about "application" and simply used the voice that said something like "if you have lost your case number" since they don't give an option for those who haven't received one. I was connected to a representative right away and I explained my situation to her but she wasn't helpful at all unfortunately.

Thank you. Yep, that's what I have been doing. 1 – 2 – 2. What I am getting is "If you have lost your case number, please call back here at our working hours on Mon-Fri ... ." I don't get it. It is Tuesday, 4:35pm in CA.

Sent I-751 in and was delivered on April 17 to Cal site. Have not heard anything since and here it is May 8th. Check has not been cashed either.

Is there anyway to check on status of request for change. Hopefully its not sitting on someone's desk. If there is something wrong with it will they send it back to redo?

Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Lucky you! When I had initially applied for my learners license, the DMV had put 10 years as the expiration date. But when I went for the DL test which was in an another county, the DMV picked up on the fact that my GC was conditional for 2 years.

They decided to overwrite the existing length from 10 years to 2 years.

So I am stuck at the mercy of the NOA being sent out! I am going to try my luck tomorrow morning to renew my DL.

Hopefully they will not ask for proof, else I’m screwed!

Hi All,

I recently mailed my I-751 application this month (May-2018) and i was going through the April filers forum and found that alot of folks are having issues with the checks not being cashed and NOAs not being issued.

I am not sure if this is related but i found the below link which talks about a pilot program being started in the end of March to calculate processing times for the following forms:

https://www.uscis.gov/news/news-releases/uscis-updates-webpage-share-more-accurate-processing-times

  • Form N-400, Application for Naturalization;
  • Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card;
  • Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; and
  • Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

Like i said, i am not sure if this related to the issue April filers are facing, but i though i should share some info that i found.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

Thanks for the link. However, I found this is funny when they transfer I751 from VSC to CSC while waiting time for VSC is 12 months, CSC is 18 months in average!!!!
