A month as of tomorrow. She searched for it, she even pulled up my very old application for Employment authorization from ages ago when I was a student. She told me to get an appointment with local USCIS office and...MAYBE they will be able to help me. As for the USPS tracking number she said it's not a real proof that I actually mailed it.

Why is a tracking number not proof that you mailed it? Do they think they give us randomly tracking numbers at the post office?!

That would be outraging!

And the best part is, we would have absolutely no recourse whatsoever. I'm calling tomorrow too.

I asked about the tier 2 and she said that since my application does not come out in the system the tier 2 officer would not be able to help me either.

Hmm, I think the other girl managed to get to a tier 2 officer even though they didn't have her application. Was it @bungajustin ? I'll try speaking to a tier 2 officer anyway. Sorry about your application maralba. So she suggested making an appointment with a local USCIS and that was it?

This is exactly what freaked me out. if it's not a proof what is it then? I wish I could get a lawyer into this but first I don't really know how helpful it would be and second...my husband and I don't have the funds to pay a lawyer as of now.

I don't know what to do... I suppose I'll have to book an appointment with the local USCIS.

Yes, that was her only option. She said to prepare a new application as well. I then explained  that my temporary GC expires on Friday. She answered that they are not responsible for this since I could have applied earlier. She made me feel as if I applied last moment really.

Wow Maralba... that is pretty bad :( Maybe you just call again tomorrow. Maybe you get somebody else on the phone then who is of better help.

Sounds like you got someone with a bad case of the Tuesdays. Late would be 2 days right before the end of 90 days, not a month before. I agree with Knops, call again tomorrow. You might got someone more helpful.

I will call them again for sure. I find outrageous that they blame me for "filing late", my papers - nice and packed the stupid way they want them and filed as if the dumbest person in the world has to go through them (sorry, I'm frustrated) - have been sitting somewhere at the Center for 4 weeks! And tracking number is not proof? are they serious? I wish I would have been able to file earlier, one week earlier was enough, I think I wold have my NOA by now.

That's crazy! I agree, resending the application and all its contents will only cause a bigger back up. Not to mention the amount of time and effort it took the first time to put all of that together and organize it! the representatives at USCIS are often not trained properly. When I was going through the CR1 process, I would wait about 15 minutes and call back, a different Rep would answer and give me a different answer to the same question.

Our package was delivered to CSC lockbox on April 9th. Still no deposit of check or NOA. I'm going to wait until the end of this week and then call about it.

Something is not right for almost all of April to be having issues like this.

I totally understand you. I would be frustrated too... 1 month should be enough - and by the way it worked in the past it would have been enough! Unfortunately my husband read an article yesterday (sadly I don't know where) that was from the beginning of april (the time the mess started) where Trump said he wants as much GC renewals as possible denied. ... And they listed the reasons for the denials. And he shortened the staff and the money for the SC anyways already... guess we are the ones who have to suffer... :(

Fingers crossed for you, I hope they will be able to give you an explanation or find your application, at least!
