I just called the USCIS customer service. They couldn't tell me why things are taking so long, but they told me that it can take up to 30 days from the day USCIS receives the form. Since it hasn't been 30 days since they received mine (April 12), they told me to just keep waiting. If by chance we still don't receive anything by the time our GC expires, I was told to schedule an infopass appointment and they will take action depending on the urgency and how long since we filed the form.

12-01-2014: Sent I-129F package via FedEx

12-03-2014: Package arrived at TSC

12-08-2014: Check cashed

12-12-2014: NOA1 hard copy

01-23-2015: USCIS status: Case was Approved

01-30-2015: NOA2 hard copy

02-02-2015: USCIS sent K1 package to NVC

02-10-2015: NVC received K1 package

02-11-2015: Date that NVC supposedly assigned case number

02-18-2015: Called NVC and asked for case number

02-23-2015: Paid MRV Fee

03-02-2015: Scheduled USEM interview appointment

03-02-2015: NVC letter received

03-09-2015: Medical interview

04-23-2015: USEM interview, got 221g email, CEAC status: Immigrant AP

04-28-2015: CFO Seminar, sent 221g response

04-29-2015: USEM received 221g response

04-30-2015: CEAC status date updated

06-17-2015: CEAC status: Non-Immigrant Ready

06-27-2015: CEAC status: Non-Immigrant AP

07-01-2015: Visa in hand! (CEAC still AP lol)

Hello everybody, I am getting slightly more nervous every day that goes by, my GC expires on 05/12, I have barely days left and, like almost all of you here... still nothing. I will be contacting USCIS on Thursday morning (it will be a month from the day they received the application). I was thinking to prepare a whole new case just in case I need to resend everything but on the other side I think it might be only waste of time since nobody's application has been processed in a whole month. They could at least let us know what's going on... <_<

I'll keep you posted and in the meantime I hope they will enlighten us with a reasonable explanation.

Im sure re sending another package will only hinder the process, imagine cancelling the first check and then it gets picked up to process  :(

That is exactly what I am planning on doing. They recieved my package a month ago (6th) and still nothing. And I need to book flights. That would not be a problem as we can get that stamp in our passport.. buuuut - what if I book the flight and then they open my package and send it back because something is wrong? Because they can for wahtever reason not cash the money order? Because - whatever? What then? In that case I would not be able to get a stamp and my flights would be lost money... I just can not afford that. Crazy that they have not even began to process the files from over a month ago. Why are they so backed up suddenly? It went smooth till end of march -what happened? When I sent the package I was so sure that I would have my NOA by now... and now they have not even cashed my money order...

ROC sent to CSC - 04/02/2018

ROC recieved by CSC - 04/06/2018

18 month extension letter in mail - 08/27/2018

Letter in mail that case got approved - 05/03/2019

New Green Card in Mail - 05/06/2019 :dancing:

Since it's been already a month have you tried to call them? I will call them right away on Thursday but if it doesn't hit the month since the day they received it it's useless to contact them.

Totally understand this. It's seriously a pain when it comes to travel plans. I sent it about a 12 days after the eligible date, and I was so sure I'd be able to have the NoA1, and biometrics by end August when I leave, and hopefully mitigate any rfes. ( There's like 4 months. It should be ok, right?  When are you travelling? Once you receive your NOA1, you should try to do a walk-in for your biometrics, I think. Something I will call to confirm when I call USCIS this Thursday.

As far as I can see, both CSC and VSC haven't seen much movement. 4/5 for CSC and 4/10 for VSC. The last NOA received for VSC was 4/17, from an application delivered on 4/10. There is one person at the bottom who states that his package was delivered on 4/28, and he had his cash checked, NOA dated, and NOA received on the same date. I'm not sure how accurate that is.

I'd say it depends on how badly you need it. If you don't have any upcoming travel plans, then even if your GC expires first it's still ok, they'll get to your paperwork eventually, as long as you filed within the 90 day window. If you have travel plans but still far, I'd wait for the 30 days first before calling or making an appointment. If your travel plans are near, then schedule an appointment right away.

Planing International travel in 6-7 weeks.  my gc will expire if i wait for 30 days since i apply so. In my area, InfoPass appointments not available either showing - "Currently, there are no available appointments. Please check again tomorrow."

Check in the mornings. That is how I got my appointment. Like as early in mornings as possible. I'm sure it various from location to location but whenever I checked during day nothing was available, but in mornings, things popped up.

... can only somebody from West Virgina say! :D:D We, here in the beautiful South-West of America, have a Border Patrol station everywhere. No matter where you wanna go - as soon as you leave the town you have to go through a Border Patrol Station and they always check my papers... if I would show up there with an expired GC they would put me into detention right away! :D:D
