Hi everyone!

I sent in my ROC petition on March 30th to the California service center, went to Mexico from April 3rd to the 9th and came back to my package being returned because I forgot to add a copy of my GC. Sent it all again on April 10th and have not heard anything. I called USCIS today and was told it can take up to 30 days to receive NOA1 and she checked and said there's nothing in the system regarding my stuff yet so was told to just wait and call back if I don't receive anything by day 31. My GC is set to expire on the 3rd....so tomorrow. I'm freaking out right now because I don't know what to expect then I don't remember what I did with the receipt from the post office and I never checked the tracking number to make sure it was delivered and when so I'm freaking out even more thinking what if it got lost in the mail or something.

Anyone file around April 10 with California and not received anything yet? Sent in  cashier's checks and don't know where those receipts are either so I could check the status on this either. I'm gonna keep looking for those receipts, wish me luck on finding them!

All the best. Hope you will hear back soon.

Yup, same here. Apparently anything that has been sent after April 5th or so has not been touched yet 😔

Day 23 for me and I sent personal checks instead of cashier checks...

Thanks for your info! mine also same situation, if they don't touch I-751 applications and person's GC expire and if they send  NOA1 letter like 3 weeks later of GC expire, is that person as out of status for those three weeks?

The fact ROC is less "urgent" for some is irrelevant. And I don't think it is due to the GC lottery either. For the GC lottery, in the past years, that was never an issue in terms of them cashing checks for ROC in April. Even when super backed and extra busy, it almost always takes them less than 2 weeks to cash those checks and that alone makes it worrying.

They are taking there sweet time to even deduct money from my card, and guess what, I lost my card and had to get it replaced. USCIS did not charge my CC yet that means they will either send me a notice for lack of payment or reject. :@

How did you make payment by your credit card?

you send in an authorization of payment from your credit card along with your application. That saves all the hassle of check or money order.

Then you'll probably have an issue with payment.

I read that only check or money order was an option.  I didn't see that listed anywhere.  Would't be surprised if they send it back to you - they won't pay the fees to charge the card......

If your GC is about to expire, I'd recommend you to resend the whole new package as CSC would take 30 days to look at your file and send it back to you, which takes a lot of time.

So normally do we get TEXT message when USCIS receive package?

Not for I751 since they do not accept G-1145 form.

I would suggest not to resend anything again until a notice has been received. Reason being, It will overlap the current file. The case may get more delays as two different people may be working on them. I am not sure but most of the process is manual for them.
