VSC here, case being transfered today but dont know where yet

@NinjaMax - Are you an April 2018 filer (receipt date) at VSC?  What is your EAC18XXX, if you don’t mind?

I am a 23rd of March 2018 filer and a few batches before mine (EAC18109 to EAC18115) appears to have been transferred to Texas.  So I am surprised to hear if cases in April get transferred by skipping a second half of March.

If we are transferred, does that mean our processing times have reset and we have to wait from the start again????

@NinjaMax

Not necessarily, but it “could” be slower than those files that do not get transferred.

Data has shown that CSC files from October 2017 to December 2017 that went to Nebraska see a significant delay (3-4 months), while CSC moved ahead to adjudicate January and February 2018 filers after unloading the older filers.  This trend may or may not continue.

Data has also shown that Texas has been more efficient than Nebraska.  Texas took part of November 2017 and December 2017 from California and has processed constantly since February 2019 until today.  So roughly two (2) months since transfer date for Texas.

VSC files, if transferred, are very likely all go to Texas based on what I heard from internal people.  It is some kinds of long-term workload planning that CSC has with Nebraska, and VSC has with Texas.

So when I call the automated number, it does NOT tell me where it was transferred, just that I will receive a notice telling me where. I did get another update today that my case has been received by my local office. I'm wondering if it has really been sent to local office or Texas (or one of the other large offices).

"On March 13, 2019, we transferred your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number EAC18151, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice."

oh its right here! https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do

the DHS site has NOT been updated in my case - (I am checking both though)

its the USCIS check your case status  - then you login with your credentials (or create an account) - and you will see the notifications!

I’ve had the “inactivity alert” option set to “yes” ever since the start of my application. The feature never worked and I never received any updates until yesterday (Tuesday) when I received my first ever “inactivity update” similar to what @Cougarfalcon83 is experiencing

I’m a CSC May 22 filer NOA June 12

@LinJoe @Hpp

oh! could observation. i didn't pay attention to that on my husband's letter. I'll have to check when i get home. I did a google search and not sure if this is accurate but same info on several different immigration forums. The below is from https://forums.immigration.com/threads/what-is-code-2-and-code-3-biometric.306906/ .

Code 1 is for fingerprinting of all 10 fingers. This is electronically sent to FBI the same day, they run it to match thru their database to match it with criminals/persons of interest and send the results the same day (or the next) to USCIS. Code 1 is very important as it is part of your security/background check and determines admissibility for GC. Code 1 expires after 15 months e.g. FBI needs to check their database again.

Code 2 (right index finger only+photo+sign) is for the generation of cards for immigration benefits e.g. EAD, GC etc. If you filed for EAD, you definitely need code 2 or the card can not be generated. Code 2 is done everytime we apply for a benefit.

Code 3 (fingerprinting all 10 fingers+photo+sign) is a combination of both, when USCIS wants to get a security check done on you as well as generate card.
