Got an email ' New card is being produced' today. Does it mean I am approved?

When did you mail in I-751 and when was it received? Are you CSC applicant?

Same here. I’m a May 2018 filer. I checked on the app 500 cases before and after mins yesterday and almost everyone got fingerprint review completed except mine. I filed change of address in Dec. Did you happen to file change of address too? I was wondering if that has anything to do with it.

Yes, USCIS made error on my last name I filed for correction. It seems if we've filed for any update - USCIS is not updating case on case trackers.

CSC. I applied mid April last year

Did you receive any update on Biometrics after filing I-751 or is this first interaction since last one year after 18-month NOA

I received USCIS letter on Friday that Biometrics will be re-used. But online tracker has no update.

(someone mentioned possibly due to update we made from our end - in my case it was last name correction misspelled by USCIS. also, address changes can cause no online updates).

I'm not sure should we be happy because people who applied after us are already done with Biometrics many months back:(

Letter mentioned they'll work on background check now - I mean they've already started working on background check for lots of folks applied after us. April 2018 applicants really had bad luck in my opinion. I just pray there is no delay in results for April 2018, another setback will be "transfer of case to new jurisdiction".

I'm waiting to file N-400 until I get GC in-hand.

Does anyone know what the expected time after biometrics to approval is?

Also, is request for biometrics a sign that RFE won't be requested? Is it basically an all good?

All it means is USCIS realized - "Oops did we not send Biometrics to April 2018 which should've been done like 9-10 months back. Ok let's send biometrics letter to them and come back to it later".

I think I will wait maybe 12 months after I get the 10 year GC. I've had enough of this shambolic process for a while. 😒

My only worry is hopefully we get GC approved by atleast June 2019.

Any idea if we apply for N-400 based on 3-years marriage (as spouse of USC) after I-751 approval (10years GC in-hand), do we still need to take spouse for interview?

I'm aware if both petitions are pending (I-751 & N-400) - generally USCIS request for interview with your spouse.

I don’t think the request for biometrics and chance of RFE are related at all.

Pretty much all applicants from (Mid April-June 2018 I think) did not receive their biometrics letters last year when they should have.

Ok. I'm not worried about evidence, approval etc. I'm just sick of the whole process. It honestly feels like it's been going on for a decade, and I've done biometrics literally 6 times now. 😀

Yeah, none of this is related to our cases going faster.

They pushed through bio-waivers and appointments all on Feb 27th for over 1000 cases according to the USCIS Tracker app, this was all a big computer push. Something done by one person hitting a button.

The best way to check the speed is by following the Jan-March 2018 filer threads. The more approvals there, the closer it'll be to here.

Problem is Jan-March 2018 filers did not have same issue as April 2018 related to biometrics. All April filers never heard about biometrics until now while Jan-March filers went thru biometrics in normal time-frame. Unless USCIS plans to skip /pretend to run  security checks for us based off biometrics data, we're looking in long queue compared to Jan-March 2018 filers.
